Got the pulled pork and it was the best ever! Mike was welcoming and the shop smelled like heaven. The prices are very reasonable and we look forward to trying the chicken and ribs. We stopped in after reading the great reviews and are so glad we did. This is our new favorite barbecue spot and definitely worth the drive from Gainesville which was about 10 minutes from Chestatee High School area. We recommend it highly!!
Saw them on a drive to get something. Made sure we found them to try on the way back. Glad we did. Didn't know what to order. They told us about the Load pulled pork nachos. We both got them and boy we left nothing. Fair priced and lots of food. It was wonderfully delicious.
Finally found my favorite bbq place. Theres is no calling for take out. Just got to show up and pick the already made food, so its not right off the grill. However, the quality, taste and smell is amazing. Had the ribs and briskett. Ribs arent fall of the bone, but thats ok. Everytime i had fall off the bone ribs, it was drenched in sauce. Here the sauce is on the side and is amazing. I like how their meat is not super salty too. The briskett is my favorite kind. Its sliced and still has a little bit fat and charred skin. Then they had this amazing riblet stirfry over white rice dish. it was plenty of food. Their side dishes were amazing too. They didnt have any greens but their mac n cheese and bbq beans were incredible.
Finally!!! We have an awesome BBQ place! Highly recommended!
We’ve been meaning to try Smokin’ Mike’s for a while now - so glad we finally did! The pulled pork has a wonderful flavor, the sides were great and the mixed berry pie and banana pudding - YUM! Friendly service as a bonus! We will be back!
Today was my very first time there. The food portion are huge and the prices are small. The owner and his son was so helpful. I will not ever go back to another BBQ place. The owner makes you feel like family.Big Ds has nothing on mikes. Thank you for awesome BBQ smokin mikes.
I just happened across this place driving by. Got a pulled pork sandwich and probably some of the best bbq I’ve had in a while! Don’t try to eat it and drive though! It gets a little messy
BBQ sandwich actually wasn’t too bad but the peach cobbler is absolutely the worst I’ve ever had! It was like peach bread. It was soooo dry it looked like a peach pizza. It was ice cold and had absolutely no flavor. I couldn’t eat it. Baked beans were ok. Nothing special. No sweet tea! A bbq place without sweet tea…..really? I may go back one day but I will skip dessert. I had high hopes for this place as I love good bbq places but it wasn’t. Nice folks that own the place.
The portions are huge! It is the best BBQ around in my opinion!
11-7pm Smokin Mike's Meats I recommend this spot to passerby eras As we did took a chance and have to admit, Loved it! Had the BBQ chicken plate which in my occasion can feed two and some, exceptional portions the sides where home cooked flavors by far I will take the credit for not cooking dinner anytime if we get to go back for more. A father and son bond as we where welcomed in and a 100 score on food certificate which indicated cleanliness as I saw the own cleaning and the son tending us with great kindness, Make sure to request the peach cobbler it's the cherry topper.
