I'm a big fan of cook out. It's one of the only fast food places that actually tasted like a home cooked meal. Not processed junk. Well maybe it is but it tastes great and doesn't make me sick, like some others soy burgers do. Prices are reasonable and staff is welcoming. Go get you a burger that tastes like it was grilled in yo back yard. And the chicken is good too...
Don’t know what it is about cookout and they’re sides you ask to double up on cheese bites and you still get only a handful. Got tired of complaining. So dissatisfied with this restaurant.
First time here, heard a lot about it and it didn’t disappoint. I got a peanut butter shake, bacon cheeseburger, rings and chili cheese fries. Everything was tasty, hot and it came out really quick. The menu was bigger than I expected and now I want to go back soon. Staff & service were great, very nice & helpful.
The food was amazing, the employees were nice and while my bf and I were eating we noticed a homeless woman come in and walk straight up to the register to talk to the manager and the manager walked away and came back with a plate of food for her at no charge. This is what really pulled my heart strings! Most restaurants wouldn't do that for anyone but this manager needs a raise and more appreciation for what they do for the homeless! I was about to buy her some food but the manager gave her food for free! THANK YOU! because of this I will support this place more and recommend this to my friends!
Cookout was absolutely slammed tonight, and the whole team was killing it. They have to have been feeling absolutely miserable, but they all handled themselves so calmly, professionally, AND friendly. I’m so impressed and have the utmost respect for the crew working tonight. Only got Myesha’s name, because she was the one to take my order, and I asked if I could give her a special shoutout online. You guys should be proud of yourselves. Thanks again!
I didn't like their food. I ordered fries and a cheeseburger quesadilla and a Cole slaw and was not at all impressed with their food. It was the first time I tried it and do not think I will eat there again. Service was fine. Prices are great.
The menu is kind of confusing. There are so many choices that it's hard to order for a car full of people. The food however is awesome most of the time. I only say most of the time because one time I got cold food that wasn't even edible. One time out of the probably twenty times I've eaten there doesn't seem so bad though. Organize the menu for us and remember when you're taking orders for drive thru to give the customers a minute to decide what they want because that menu is quite large and I'll rate it five stars!

Anyone that wants a burger or shake while they're in Gainesville should stop here.PS: Not to throw shade on the other places that offer frozen dairy desserts, but Cook Out has the absolute best shakes for the price. They mix them even thicker than a Blizzard at the Gainesville location. I stopped there and ordered this Chocolate Chip Cheesecake milk shake and I was not disappointed.
Counter guy was efficient and pleasant. Burgers, sides, milk shakes, sodas for four for less than $30. Plenty of condiments safely tucked away and readily proferred. We even learned a little bit about Jesus while we ate.
