Two stars are for server. He was amazing. Everything else not so good. Food not so great and I used to be a big fan. Spinach dip undercooked. Green beans sweet. I've had them before and they had a southern taste. Tonight very sweet. Who does that??? Rice was plain white when a pilaf/seasoned was advertised. And I got water which tasted horrible like dirty tap. So disappointed.
HIT-OR-MISS... My wife and I met here as wait staff almost 10 years ago. We like to come every once in a while fir nostalgia. I brought my family and guest in a few weekends ago and it was fantastic. Then we came twice more in the last week and it's been pathetic both times. So it's very hit or miss. I ordered a pain killer, bacon cheeseburger with fries and broccoli casserole. My wife ordered a burger as well. My pain killer never showed up (went to bathroom and out to vape and my drink was still sitting at the bar both occasions. I asked the bar tender if it was my drink and he confirmed (did not offer to have drink sent to table). The restaurant was absolutely not busy and mostly empty on a Thursday eve. Our burgers and fries came out horrible. Burger was old and grayish colored mostly black burnt bacon. Fries were half cooked and half raw like they put 20lb of fries in fryer at once. My wife's red bean casserole was like licking a salt block. I never saw the presence of a manager at all. The first time we came a female manager came by table to check on us, not the next the visits. This place needs a good deep cleaning, The walls are coated in splattered food and the tables are permanently sticky and makes you feel yucky. There are some unsavory characters working as servers. I almost came home and applied for a manager position here just so I can clean house... get this place straightened out and stop wasting people's hard earned money. And earn Gainesvilles trust back. Because as of now I don't trust Cheddars anymore... what are you gonna do about that Cheddar's?
Everything was great! Excellent service plenty of food. Food was great. THE only issue I had was my servers clothes were dirty and stained. We was there at 11:15 am for an early lunch. So they haven't had them on long. We sat in the bar area side.
Food was great, but first time here and we we’re placed on a waiting list and we’re told we were going to wait 20-30 min. So we waited in the car for 50. We came inside and waited another 10 until the person in the front saw us and asked how long we were waiting. We told her , and her response was “sorry sometimes our system likes to kick people off” . Not sure if I believe that, but that meant we could’ve been waiting for hours outside. So if you decide to eat here make sure there’s not many people if not it’s best to go elsewhere . Buffalo wild wings is next door and I have never had a bad experience with them. They text as soon as there’s an available spot
Casual dining. Consistent great food. My favorite is the chicken fingers. Had ribeye last night and it was very good with steamed broccoli. No big deal but states diet Dr Pepper on the menu, no go. Only Coke Zero. Wait staff is Courteous. Facility is clean. If your looking for comfort food steak and gravy, note ask for the Texas toast on the side, if not they put it under the steak and it’s soggy.

We went there for a birthday dinner! The host was very friendly and pleasant but she didn't wear a mask like the other servers, the food was just ok and a little pricey!
Tonight is the first night we have had quality service at a restaurant since the Plandemic began! The hostess was so kind and friendly. She gave an accurate wait time, which is not usual at other restaurants in the area. Our server, Adams, was kind and served us very well. Our order was accurate and when we needed anything he was very responsive. The kitchen was slow but that has become normal over the last 2 years. What a nice experience!
Went around 12:00 pm today(Friday.) My husband and I sat at the bar. Unfortunately I didn't get the bartender's name. He was a young man, he was absolutely fantastic. Plus the food was great, like always.
First off: Brandon you did an awesome job. You get the 5 stars!It was Wednesday at around 1pm01/12/2022.:no one greeted us at door. You were all by yourself at that time, you were both bartending and serving food to restaurant area. You did an amazing job.The restaurant and seating area was clean.Food was great.
