Ordered the pork Benedict and she ordered the crab cake Benedict. Pork was very tough and the crab cake DID NOT taste like crab at all. Not enough hollandaise sauce on either one and service was very bad. Oh and don’t order the Bloody Mary. Worse one I have ever had. House made English muffins were terrible very hard and way too crunchy. Poached eggs over cooked and no runny yolk. Will never go back.
Very nice, friendly service. Toasted chicken salad sandwich was excellent!
Nice place! This was my first time, but members of my family eat here often. Interesting, inventive menu and reasonable prices. My son had the Chorizo Quesadilla and I had a cup of Black Bean Soup with a side Greek Salad. All were good, but the soup could have had a bit more zest or spice. Our waiter was a little intense, but I'd definitely go back.
We have been eating at 2 Dog for over 17 years. It has always been my favorite restaurant in Gainesville. Unfortunately, the last few times have been off. The waiter was odd one of the times, complaining about having to work that shift, because their hours had changed. The last time we went, I ordered the stuffed portobellos which stated there were “two.” When I received only one, I mentioned the menu said “two.” I was told “it depends on the size.” So, I paid almost $10.00 for one stuffed mushroom. That waiter was also grumbling about working. I don’t know that we will be back.
Perfect service! Stopped in first time for brunch! It was amazing! 5 out of 5 stars
This restaurant has potential, but falls short of expectations. Firstly, the staff were chaotic and inattentive, with the exception of one or two who seemed to keep the place running. The menu is spectacular and has options for omnivores and vegetarians alike, which is unique in this area. The meals described on the menu sound amazing and have ingredients from local places. However, the food delivered was bland, tepid, and was not enough to fill a relatively small man's appetite. "The Meal", which is a special on the menu offers a half portion. Considering the amount of the full portion, the half portion must only be a spoon of rice. It was supposed to come with a hunk of homemade bread. It did not. I had to ask, and I was reluctantly brought over a small slice of dry, OK tasting baguette without any butter. On a whole, it was a disappointing experience, but if you did want to check out their interesting menu, make sure to bring some bread or something else to snack on since it won't be enough.
The staff is great and accommodating. There is easy parking. This place is quiet and relaxing. Great for a business meeting or date night. This place could use more vegetarian and vegan options.I had the chicken quesadilla without the chicken. I highly recommend it. I would definitely come back here.
This place has great ambiance. I came in at 12:00 on a Saturday with two friends and was seated immediately. Service was really slow but everyone working there was hustling as fast as they could. Our waitress seemed to be covering every table in the place. It took 1.5 hours to get lunch; so I’m glad I wasn’t starving.Overall, the meal was underwhelming. I got the Greek Rosa which was basically toast with feta, roasted red bell peppers and kalamata olives on top. I shared crab cakes with my friend. They were sort of dry and bland, not what I was expecting from the price. Also, they were served over a bed of plain, raw spinach? It came with some remoulade sauce, but they really skimp on the condiments. The pricing was pretty reasonable and the staff went to great lengths to insure tables were sanitized between guests which was a great touch.
Went on a Saturday for lunch. They were a little busy but we only had to wait for about 10-15 minutes for a party of 4. The gouda fritters were AMAZING!! They are a must try! The rest of our food was exceptional as well. We had the create your own pasta, quiche which was the special of the day, chicken avocado quesadilla and a Caesar salad. They have a lot of different options that aren’t found at your typical chain restaurants. If you’re looking for something new I would highly recommend!
Dropped in for lunch with a party of 5. Sat outside to avoid a 30 min wait. Food was great (I had the burger), Server was awesome, but service was slow inaccorrdance with most places struggling to maintain a full staff. Free parking onsite. I would definitely return!
