For those who like fancy, rather upscale, and expensive. Excellent atmosphere, service, and food quality. Personally, not my kind of place, but I know there are those that like that sort of thing.
First time I went, they would not accept us about an hour before closing. Second time I went, today at 2pm, restaurant empty as hell and would not accept us because we did not have a reservation. We went early to beat the commercial V Day crowd, just to have a nice brunch. Nothing I read stated we needed a reservation. This is a cafe. Give me a break!
Been dining at Village Cafe since we moved to Fayetteville 9 years ago. Never had a bad meal or service!! The chicken diablo is the best!
Ordered appetizers and dessert...hubby ordered calamari and I, the fried green tomatoes. The calamari was seasoned well and fried right. The tomatoes were fried perfectly but was bland. The staff was friendly and the ambience gives you a European feel. Ordered the bread pudding to dine in, wasn't warmed up evenly but was very tasty. Ordered the tiramisu and creme brulee. Both desserts were delicious but the tiramisu was extremely decadent. I wish the brulee's sugar was more caramelized but flavor was there.
My water aerobics group ate here for Christmas. The food was great. The service was good. The prices were very good as well. The portions were large.
Good food but not outstanding. I have been a frequent customer over the years but doubt if I go back. The host was very rude and acted as if it was an imposition that my party had come to his establishment. It was very upsetting to my entire group. I will go somewhere else next time.
Very attentive wait staff and owner. Clean, intimate dinning, wonderful menu and tasteful wines. Owner practices safe protocols
Food is always good. Tried the meatloaf for the first time. It was excellent. Steaks and salads are awesome too.
The food was mediocre beyond compare, but the service was great. We ordered online with about 20 orders, and they had everything conveniently packaged and labelled for us. Wouldn't return for the food, but would return for the service.
Just moved here to Fayetteville so we are trying the restaurants in the area. The food here is AMAZING
