I went in trying to get a pan a rib tips. Couldn’t because of short notice. So I got a double rib tip plate with Mac/Cheese & Mash Potato’s. Mac/Cheese and Potatoes were on point= NICE ??My rib tips was the absolute worse I ever had and I love ribs!!!! When I got home and opened that plate the rib tips was sitting down in so much grease SMH ??♂️ they were honestly almost completely covered in grease ???? A lot of the meat was tough. Just was very disappointing. The Fayetteville Location
I keep giving this place a chance and it's so hit or miss... well this time was the last miss!! I ordered two rib dinners and the ribs were gross!! They were oven baked & seasoned/ marinated in what tasted like beer which tasted nothing even close to their once delicious rib tips. The banana pudding was runny like it wasn't refrigerated... it looked disgusting once I made it home!And what happened to the points & rewards system?? I guess they disappeared with the Soul because the cashier couldn't explain if I had any or if my current purchase would be accounted for. The whole place just needs a revision and it's very obvious that the owners are just reaping the benefits and could care less about these reviews... it just disappointing to say the least!! I won't be supporting them ever again!!
My first and last time supporting this business I ordered ribs that were over cooked The toughest ribs I’ve ever eaten, The chicken wings had feathers on them and not 1 bit of season I called and spoke with a manager who explained I would have bring the food back for refund or a replacement I live 25 mins away and they are closed on Sunday, it’s a shame because I truly believe in supporting black businesses but this one I can’t. I was so excited to try this establishment. My daughter and I walked in and saw a huge sign with 2 for $35 price. So I proceeded to look at the options and place my order while pointing at the entree I wanted on the sign. Paid $38.20 and asked for my drink cups and dessert included in the special. They proceeded to tell me you have to ask for the special and that I didn’t ask so I didn’t get the special price. As a new patron to the establishment I had no clue that wasn’t the price and was some sort of secret special that needed to be requested. Got my food sat down and the employees proceeded to argue with each other while myself and 9 year old daughter quickly ate so I could remove her from the escalating drama among the employees. Food was decent but the service and environment was awful.
I agree this restaurant has really went down the food use to be awesome years ago. The food and the customer service is terrible food was dried out and old tasting and I brought my fiance here for the first time and he complained of his pork chops had so much bone he did not enjoy it at all total disaster we were both very disappointed and your workers behind the counter need to be upgraded to manners and politeness they were loud and rude.
First time there. It wasn't what I expected after looking them up on line but it is probably a sign of the times. The ppl working there are very friendly but not as helpful as they could have been knowing we had never been there. Out of the 3 of us having different things, the mac and cheese was very good and the cabbage and pork chop with rice and gravy was good.
I've seen commercials for this restaurant. I do not have one located on my side of town so when I visited an area where one was located I had to go. I was disappointed. I ordered smothered pork chop, rice, collards and broccoli casserole. The meat was so tough that it was not eatdible. The sides were okay. The service needs to be improved and the restuarant could stand a deep cleaning.
Quality has change for some reason, found hard plastic in my rice, spoke to manager, thankful they understood and offered me a a replacement meal and beverage.Got home and the beverage (peach lemonade you buy from the cooler) smelled soo foul. They dont put expiration dates on the beverages so who knows how old this drink is
I'm sorry I tried but this place need to do better when it comes to FRESH food. I literally paid $30+ for one meal and a drink. The pork chops and chicken wings are so old and hard it's a shame (literally can't eat the pork chops). I went at 5:30 in the afternoon it's no way this food was cooked TODAY. They covered the pork chops in gravy so you can't see how old they are. I will say my veggies are always good ...it's only 2/3 that I'll try. So I guess that's the one ?.. Also today my punch taste so sour I guess it's from Saturday since they don't open on Sundays. I don't even have the energy to take this back. Ugh I should've went to Rosa's kitchen!!!!!
I’ve frequented this place several times over the years, even when it was located in the Pavilion. The food we received today 1/7/2022 was almost inedible. Courteous and fast service, which was great for our lunch break, but we can’t even eat the actual food. The fried chicken was over cooked, with some pieces borderline-burnt & the macaroni & cheese tasted like the dairy in it may have gone bad. Like actual spoiled milk/cheese. Hopefully, this was a today only issue & no one gets sick or worse but from other reviews I doubt it. The food has never been cheap but for the prices we paid & the quality we received, this is absolutely horrid.
