We have been to this location and their other location plenty of times and we’re usually not disappointedGot the shrimp/grits and catfish/grits bowl and enjoyed both. My shrimp/grits were a tad too salty but that didn’t stop me from enjoying them.I would say it’s worth the try as they have a diverse menu
First time here. It was a long wait....arrived round 4:50 and waited for 20-25 mins. I will assume it was because of take out orders. They were very pleasant-greeted by the cook and the cashier which is nice. They were out of bottled waters, so we opted for the in house juices which were very sweet, but that's okay. As for the food- I have never seen fish that thin. Basically it was a regular piece cut in half and the consequence of that is overcooking. You can see in the photo the edges were curled and very rubbery and I did not care for the heavy seasoning in the batter. He got the 4 piece and I got the 2 piece Catfish dinner. Oddly enough, the end of the pieces had very little fish and were actually pretty good if you care for chips! Fries were just okay, the hush puppies had good flavor but were cold. I highly dislike this trend of a serving of coleslaw in a condiment cup. You need the coleslaw to balance flavors and cleanse your palate when eating a fried meal. I mean, it's cabbage basically, what am I missing? At any rate, my brain is still trying to process exactly what citrus flavor was in it.I hope this place makes it because the area could use a good fish place. Keep in mind it is quite small so if you plan to dine-in you may have trouble getting a seat at peak times. They do have a really cute outdoor seating area with a few tables. Our total came to $35 with small $2 tip. Hopefully this was just an off day. Will try it again
Fish was not seasoned, small and fried hard. I did like the Zucchini fries.

This place has some big wings! I really enjoyed my hot wings even though the sauce(hot) was a bit twangy. The wings are meaty and big. I'll definitely be back to try them in another sauce. I would leave 5 stars but I was charged $1.50 more to sub out my French fries for steamed broccoli and only got 3 florets (although they were on the larger side) and the hot sauce isn't the best for me. Try this place out! I'm hoping they add a wing and fish combo soon!
Ok, first the positives… The young lady who took our order was nice and friendly, the hush puppies are pretty good, and the food is well seasoned. Now for the negatives, the fish was extremely THIN CUT. If you order it, you will mainly be getting breading. We ordered the whiting and catfish and they were both this way. The catfish, didn’t have that flaky consistency that it naturally has. It was more of a mushy texture. It’s hard to describe because I’ve never had fish like this. It was displeasing to say the least. However, the young lady working the register stated that the rice bowls are really good… so maybe try that instead. Overall… I would not recommend this place. The quality of their food is simply not where it needs to be for the price point.
I wanted zucchini fries but was out. So he gave me onions ring and extra French fries! Very nice?
By far the best fish I have ever had. My favorite go to is the 2 piece whiting fish with rice and a salad. My kids love the lemon pepper wings, fried tilapia, mango lemonade, and the strawberry cake. We enjoy eating outside, this area is warming. Everything is cooked to order so therefore you will have to wait but it’s worth the wait to have fresh food that you cannot drive up to any window around to get quickly and it’s fresh. This is a new black owned business growing to serve the community with great customer service and food. Let’s be patient with the growth and support anytime we can!
Can I just start this review by saying that Mike and Jen are AMAZING. They had 2 lovely little ladies taking orders in the front. I was so impressed with the customer service. The food is absolutely fantastic. If I could give them higher than 5 stars I would. I couldn’t wait to get home and eat. The staff is amazing and super dedicated. So grateful they were open on Easter Sunday. My family and I will definitely be coming back.
I just ordered a tilapia dinner told us it would be 20 minutes it took 30 minutes the fish was hot but NO seasoning at all the frys were soggy and cold no seasoning, left out my hush puppies, the coleslaw is pickled and sour I didn't like it
