Placed an order through their app, paid for it, and received confirmation at 7:29pm. When I arrived at the store at 8pm which was my pickup time, it was closed. The lights and open sign were off and the door locked. The TV inside was on and the Barbecue neon sign was lit. There were other customers that arrived to pickup paid orders. Sign and website says they close at 9pm. The chairs are on the table. 30 minutes wasted.
Normally this is a 5 star rating place, however, I don't know what they had going on yesterday but I had to mark them down. First of all, I will say that it's my fault for not checking my to go box before leaving the restaurant. I ordered burnt pork ends as my second meat choice and they gave me pulled pork. Not only did they get that incorrect but most of what they gave me was the curled up fat! The portions of meat were very small as well. Normally I eat in when I go here and the portion I take home after eating is larger than the whole meal I received as take out. I still gave a 4 star rating because the food I did get was delicious as always! I also stole one of my Daughter's pork ribs and it was so delicious and fall off the bone tender and juicy. Neither one of us even used any sauces. The meat is just THAT good!
Food was very yummy! The brisket plate was sooo delicious. Especially served by the sweet guy running the place by himself. Came at a rush hour, but was totally with the wait. The worker handled EVERYONE well. On the other hand, don’t believe every silly review left on here. Specifically if we waited awhile behind you while you ordered & only to leave that nasty review. Bless his heart..that worker had AMAZING customer service & even took the time to clean the lobby after the rush he handled appropriately. Saw it ourselves while eating our meals. Took pride into making the majority HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY:) empathy goes a long way hunny. Praying & looking foward to eating here again soon<3 thank y’all sm!!
The food was great. I only went to get fried okra and decided to try the wings also and they were amazing. I will try a different flavor next time. Thumbs up to them.
Always a pleasure coming to this location. The guy working the store, Slade, was more than helpful & such a sweetheart you wanna hug. Came to dine in not knowing what to get, so he suggested what’s called the “pork & kielbasa” plate. Looked really yummy, so had to send my husband who loves bbq a pic lol! (I’ll include the pic) overall great atmosphere, very clean & welcoming, great service! P.S: thank u so much for giving my husband the coupon..he really appreciated it!!??
Amazing service & yummy food. Whole family ate here on a Sunday, so kids definitely enjoyed the free meals! 2 guys holding the place down were very friendly & made the place feel welcoming. Definitely coming back again. HIGHLY recommend??
Loved the sweet & smoky wings!! Dr.pepper sauce is definitely what sold my daughter & I both. Staff was SUPER friendly as well. The manager in charge is the cutest young man who needs to get into modeling ASAP! My daughter who models & him both were talking up a storm about it. Made our experience 1000x better. Any agents or ppl looking for young males.. scout him on his free time. You’ll know what I’m talking about lol. Really good BBQ overall! Follow your dreams kid, you’re gonna be big?
First, I would like to start by saying this may be the 2nd or 3rd review I have ever left, I just don't like to bring attention unless it is warranted. I have reached out to this particular location on many occasions only to be ignored. Unfortunately, this restaurant has gone from one of the best in Fayette County to one of the worst. I used to eat here at least 2 - 3 times a week. About a year ago they changed a few of the providers from where they got a few of the items they serve. The main one being the regular sausage. It went from a harder consistency to a very soft, almost unable to eat consistency, it was like it had more water in it. I mentioned it on many visits, but kept going back in hopes that something would change, it never did. Loving to eat here I have continuously gone but things have just gotten terrible. The place is always a mess, the grease fryers have oil and crud all over them, the place is just not very clean. The last few times there I had to ask for the cutting board and scales to be cleaned off before dealing with my order. The last straw was a few nights ago when I order using Grubhub. The order was received fairly quick, and I appreciated that. But that was the only positive to this order. The sausage I ordered was so hard that it was thrown away, I ate the chicken but it was so dry that I felt like I was eating crackers, and the large okra that I ordered was one large clump of okra and the middle was still raw, unacceptable. At this point I will not be going back to this place. I really hope that the issues this place is having can be corrected, I would really like to patron this establishment.
My first intentions of writing this review was solely based on my OUTSTANDING service last night, but happen to notice the guy before my review. Some reviews are just as reliable as Wikipedia. Came in at around 7pm for a niece of mine’s family get together & wanted to order a few racks of ribs & sides. The gentlemen who served me was not only the sweetest, but sparked up a great conversation as usual & actually helped me save a few dollars on my order. I’m a regular at this location, & couldn’t be more pleased enough each time I come here. The entire family LOVED the ribs & couldn’t be more happier. The “staff” you were dissatisfied with was a kind young man who was working the ENTIRE store by himself opening- closing & if you’re reading this..myself & many other regulars appreciate all your hard work & outstanding customer service you strive to give. We have your back! Sometimes a little patience & empathy can go a long way into making your experience a WHOLE lot better. You get what you give & Dickey’s definitely excels when it comes to great employees.
Loved our experience! Partner & I dined In to order whats called the “pit boss” special which came with the sandwich itself, 1 side, & large cup. Never tried Dickey’s before, so decided to stop by on our way back home from Florida. The GM, Slade, which was the coolest names btw & ppl to meet served & made us both feel welcome! Working by himself making sure everyone in the store was satisfied. Hope u heal well from what we talked about buddy & owe this review to you! If you’re ever passing through town, definitely recommend this place!! 20/10
