We knew we wanted soul food while in Georgia, so we decided to stop here. The beef ribs look astonishing, however they had NO seasoning, super disappointed because I ordered an extra bone, but it will be passed to my dog. The sides were good, we had the soufflé, macaroni and cheese, and cabbage. The jerk chicken wings were fried (not long enough) with jerk seasoning sprinkled on top, not really jerk in my opinion. The dessert- red velvet cake and banana pudding were good. The cake looks like it could have been sliced again to make 2 slices. The service was mediocre at best, however there was a guy walking by to ask if everything was fine. I would probably try a different soul food restaurant before thinking about coming back.

Forgot to take pics but my smothered pork chops over rice was very tasty. For sides I had cabbage and skillet corn... they were ok, full disclosure I was expecting the corn to be skillet fried, and it was more like creamed corn, sweet. I gave 3 stars because though you can eat in, you pay up front and tip up front. The service was minimal and not really with a smile but the place was clean and comfortable to dine in. Oh and food is displayed, kind of buffet style so you can see it before you order it. I would go back again.

Work close by and decided to give this place a try for the first time today! I had smothered pork chops, Mac and cheese, squash and cornbread. DELICIOUS ? all of it. Staff was super nice and the restaurant was very clean. Will definitely be back again! Also, banana pudding tastes like grandma made it.

Great food and great service. Loved this location. Bright and modern. I had beef ribs, turmeric rice, with collard greens (not cooked with meat). My husband had the freshly fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, with cabbage (not cooked with meat). We truly enjoyed our meal. This is a hidden soul food joint in Gwinnett. The BEST sweet tea EVER!

This place was pretty good. I would definitely go back. The staff was nice. The oxtails are amazing, the smoked turkey wing was flavorful. The greens a delicious, I could eat them often. Nice outdoor patio to d8ne outdoors.

Food was on POINT!! Fresh, hot and flavorful. The sweet potatoe souffle was AWESOME! You get your money's worth here. The portions are decent. We you definitely need to to go box. Atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff greeted us like they know us forever!! If your ever in Duluth, Georgia make it your business to visit this place! You WON'T be disappointed!!

My first time there the food was delicious! I will be coming back again. I was full I couldn't eat all. My son's are very picky eaters. They really enjoyed the food. My younger son wanted more food! I finally found a place to eat and lived!

I have been going to this restaurant for years the L'ville location so when this one came to Duluth I was super excited. I typically order the catfish with yams and mac & cheese add shrimp. Let me say the catfish is always good, the yams at this restaurant are very bland and have no flavor but I did notice they switched to souffle. So yesterday I decided to order something different because I am burnt out on fried food. What a mistake I got the turkey wing w/rice, greens and mac & cheese add fried shrimp. The turkey skin was soft and batter like, the gravy had zero flavor and leaked into my greens and the wing wasn't even warm. I eate a couple bites of greens which were a lil tangy and my mac & cheese was drowning in grease at the bottom. Sad to say I only finished my peach cobbler. My shrimp were so greasy the skin literally fell off. $25+ wasted and I was still hungry not to mention the $1.50 processing fee to order online. I keep trying to give this location my business but the quality is just not here. I am typically not the one to complain but I was so unhappy with my meal.

Went in after ordering online and place was nice and clean!! Everyone was super helpful!! But this FOOD??? Fantastic!! I’ve had good soul food and for me to leave a review SAYS a lot!!! Definitely and FINALLY a place near home that I can recommend… We will be regulars as long as the service remains on this level!!!

I went on Saturday afternoon. I asked for 20 pieces of catfish, but I was informed that I would have to pay $112.00 without any sides, so I asked for a family pack! The 2 young ladies that was at the register said “She better go to JJ’s fish for that”, and laughed! I turned around and say, where is It located? If it wasn’t so far away, I would have gone! We spent 200.00 in there, And the food was good but I’m quite sure the owner wouldn’t appreciate them sending their customers somewhere else! Grow up little girls!
