I ended up going to Atlanta to look at cars. And somehow, someway managed to stumble upon this amazing section of Duluth Georgia. And in this section of Duluth Georgia was this cute little pizza place which I couldn't quite figure out how to make an order to begin with. But I sure am glad I did figure it out because the pizza was perhaps one of the most unique and best pizzas I have ever eaten. I would like to say that I would go back but 4 hours is a long drive for a pizza
The pizza is fine. But after paying $6 a slice today, I’m done. I want to support local. But I can’t support that. That’s $48 for a $26 pizza if you buy eight slices that way. I’ve eaten here several times. I live in Duluth. I kind of feel like the guy working there may have just made up these prices. It was some kids out of school day in downtown Duluth and he probably sized me up for some shmuck with his three-year old daughter there to visit the festival. Well, no. I’ve bought the same full pizza before for $26. So, I’m going to make my own pizza. Believe it or not, I make pretty good pizza. Maybe this week inspire me to open a pizza joint and not charge people $6 a slice for pizza.
The person with the beard is rude. I questioned why a 16 inch pizza is 27 dollars. He aske me to leave. There is no place even in NYC that charges these prices. I would not recommend this place to my enemies.
Looking for excellent local pizza that offers both - crispy thin crust and juicy Detroit style deep dish? O4W is for you.The pizza is incredibly delicious and the service is polite and professional, the venue has a homely feel and is cozy but could use a facelift.Love this place and will be coming back as a local favorite spot!
Something has changed at my favorite pizza joint and it’s not good!! It may be new ownership. I don’t know. But there have been a lot changes. First, my Grandmother’s Pizza. I was shocked that the, now obviously not in-house mozzarella on the pizza, arrived ice-cold. When I told them it was cold and I wanted it heated, they said they put it on cold when the pizza is done. This was never the case. The crust is now thin and not chewy like it use to be. The best thing about the pizza, the sauce, now taste like it came out of a can. Save the $25. You can buy this kind of pizza at Lidl or ALDI if that’s what you like. And they made major changes to the menu, including adding vodka sauce pizza and getting rid of some great Italian sandwiches. They now have fountain sodas, instead of just cans. But it’s Pepsi and some knock-off brand I’ve never heard of. Talk about knock-offs. They’ve now got a music service that plays rock and pop hits by people that don’t even sound like the original artists. Fake! Finally, the old employees are all gone, including the cool young African-American men that use to make the pizza, while grooving to hip-hop tunes. I don’t know what happened to O4W Pizza, but if anyone finds out, let me know. I want it back!Addendum: After looking a the other reviews, it seems that just in the past month the reviews have gone from excellent to poor. One reviewer even encounter that thing that I did, but failed to report that, cashier could barely understand English and take my order. The “owner” stated that they were having a hard time finding and training employees because of the pandemic, but I moved to Duluth in March 2020 when it all started and the food and service was fine until this visit. With all the changes, including new menu and new hours, I’m feel there has to be new owners that are cutting corners. Even the old paper menu at the counter is gone and you to use your QR reader for their new menu! Bad moves.
Cute place & the grandma pie was truly fantastic pizza. The curling pepperoni is my favorite! We also really enjoyed the sausage roll & marinara. Logistically speaking, it's a bit unorganized so try not to be in a rush when coming in. You order at the table online if you're eating in.
Not a good experience at all. One of the worst experiences actually. Sat down and ordered our food at 5:10pm then waited. Never got cups for the drinks we ordered, received our appetizer 40 mins after we placed our order but never the Detroit style pizza.Had to go to the front counter to beg for the 3 $2.50 cups we paid for (7 mins standing at the counter) only to use a drink machine that was out of Pepsi and 2 other drinks.Waited another 20 mins annoyed seeing everyone around us was getting their food with minimum wait. Went to back to the counter again to find out that our order was looked at wrong and the crew didn’t realize we ordered pizza too. The pizza finally came but was so over it that I didn’t enjoy it. Not once did anyone or a manager check on or apologize for the poor service. Never been so excited to leave an establishment!
Just ordered take out last night. There was a group of us so I ordered the grandma goes to Detroit and a thin crust pepperoni pizza. When picking up the pizza, the one box was significantly smaller. They have recently changed the size of the grandma goes to Detroit and it’s a 1/3 of the size that it once was but still charged $20. Very disappointed and to boot, it wasn’t enough food for our group of 7. Still tasted good and the quality of ingredients was consistent but the pizza shrinkage was a bit of a shock.
I'm originally from the Midwest and some of the best pizza comes from the Midwest. (Do not enter the chat NY) This is EASILY some of the best pizza I've ever had. I can't give it 5 stars because the pie was smaller than I expected for the price point, but it was really good.
It's good here. There's quite a wait for your pizza if you get a whole pizza.... but I guess its understandable if from scratch... is it from scratch? Cant see, im short.February 5, 2022 updateThis place has gone down hill. The length in wait has not improved, but thats not the only place. The pizza was saltier than I remember. The regular order of garlic knots was advertised to have 6 knots, we only got 3. The pizza was chewier than crispy. They're advertising for more employees, but there are more than enough people walking around to get the job done where needed. Poor allocation of employees. The cherry on top: I arrived at 5:30 and did not receive our food until 7. A family walked in ordering to go and was able to place their order and receive 3 big boxes worth of food within 30 minutes. They were even able to chat with the owner for 10 minutes before ordering! ?Down hill for sure.
