Visited here with my family for a 2021 farewell dinner all the way from Memphis TN. I knew this was a no frills whole in the wall place, the tsukidashi offered exceeded our expectations and was all very good. Sashimi was fresh and very delicious but the highlight was the maeuntang and wow it was one of the best dining experiences for us in the last few months. I'm seriously contemplating driving 7 hours every month just to have good authentic Korean Sashimi experience, because we don't have anything like this where I'm from (Memphis, TN) Thanked and saluted the owner chef and his wife for the dining experience and unforgettable New Years Eve :) Cheers !
The sign on the storefront is "KPL Fish Market Restaurant 어촌횟집". The place is a hole in the wall gem for authentic Korean seafood. I've talked to the owner who told me he gets two shipments per week straight from Korea. I've been here twice and both time, I thought the food was fresh and delicious. Their seafood bowl is refreshing and great. I've had their flounder sashimi, abalone, sea pineapple, and squid. All tasted very fresh and good!! I finished off that dinner with their fish stew. Also clean and neat tasting. Perfect amount of spice. You can only find things like this in LA and maybe Manhattan. I am so happy I found this place!Know that inside, the decor is old. Like I said, hole in the wall. The owner and his wife are very friendly and helped answer a lot of questions. I highly recommend this place!
