Purely food based review:Set A ($60) Amazing assortment of Gopchang & Daechang (small & large beef Intestines), linings &a heart. Would recommend for 2 people despite saying serves 3. They cook it all for you.Free banchan - includes steamed egg, onions, chives, spicy bean sprouts, and some sort of radish or rice wrap. Plus free ice cream machine after your meal!Really great authentic restaurant to try out this type of Korean cuisine. Would definitely come back for more juicy Daechang that melts in your mouth!
When my brother and his girlfriend mention Hwangso Gopchang, I knew I needed to give it a try! I enjoy trying unique and "outside the norm" foods, plus as a Korean-American, Korean BBQ has a special place in my heart. The Gopchang and pork jaw here is literally a 15 out of 10. I was blown away on how delicious it was. I live in Orlando, FL but visit here the Duluth area often and Hwangso Gopchang will always be a must visit for me whenever I am in town. Lastly, I tried Gopchang at another restaurant here in Orlando, and it was not very good. So whatever technique Hwangso has and adopted, it is again a 15 out of 10! My only complaint is that I can not get it more often since I live out of town! Oh, we tried the kimchi-cheese fried rice, which was confusing but we had to try it. This was also a grand slam delicious dish! Make sure to wash it down with so beer and soju, it rounds out the experience perfectly!
It was my first time eating Gopchang and I loved it. It was a great meal and we had a server who completely explained everything to me and we couldn’t have been happier with what we ate, drank, and experienced. We definitely will be back!
Daechang was good! Kimchi rice lacked flavor. Gopchang was ok~ Food didn’t take long at all to come. Our server was friendly but all he did was help cook, that’s all. Experience could have been better if the server recommended items and told us what amenities were available considering we mentioned “it’s our first time” and it wasn’t busy at all. We noticed the ice cream machine and I’m going to assume it’s self-serve since no one said anything when we got some lol. We did like the private booths and intimate setting.
First off, the food is DELICIOUS.It’s hard to find a place that makes good gopchang. So I considered myself to be lucky when I got recommended about this place. It’s been the only place I go for gopchang ever since.Staff is friendly, always there to help you with cooking the food. So basically they take care of everything until the food is ready to eat, just like any other Korean restaurants.We always order a combo for 3 even though there’s only 2 of us. Trust me, the gopchang is very good. They always do a good job to get rid of the natural smell of the intestine. The ingredients are prepped carefully and properly. They also have other dishes to have along with the gopchang, and I particularly love the chicken and intestine stew. It may be a little bit spicy, but it tastes so good.They have free ice cream cones as a dessert and they can get one by yourself, pretty cool. Not many places offer this tho.It’s a 5 stars from me. Love it!!!
Delicious food and super friendly service! Nearly everything is or is made with gopchang (cow intestines). One of my dishes did not come out as I ordered it, but it wasn’t a big deal and they definitely made up for it with their friendly and attentive service. I recommend and would visit again. The ice cream machine and late hours are a plus.
This is me and my husband's favorite spot to get gopchang (which is cow intestines). It is a chewy and quite tasty experience.
They definitely need more staffs. The meat was good but their fried rice did not meet my expectation.

I like their foods!!I ordered 매운찌개, however it took long hours to serve my table even though i ordered it at the beginning order. Therefore, my children needed to wait for it with starving. Kiddos lost their patients and ate all side dishes since their dishes had not served. I naturally ordered steamed eggs since I needed to feed my kiddos. However, the servers were not happy about what I requested. Some were one the house, the others were charged for steamed eggs. Also, I remember that All servers avoided responsibility for ordering 매운찌개. I like their foods, but service.
