We had to wait a little while to get a table inside, they did have tables available outside immediately, but due to the heat I wanted air condition. Our waitress was unpatient when I was trying to ask a question about something on the menu. I ordered Fried chicken (a chicken sandwich) with fries. I did not enjoy it. The chicken was flat and fried too hard and I didn't enjoy the fries. My SO got the chicken livers and the Chandler's chicken salad sandwich and a beer. He enjoyed everything. We enjoyed the music they played a lot of songs from the 90's.
I had the scone maple smoked cheddar and the Burrata and that Burrata, peach, mint herb pesto was the star of the show (amazing). Also our server Derrick was absolutely fire, 5/5 stars.
The service was amazing. Both the beer and food were wonderful. The fried chicken was great and so were all the appetizers we ordered.
The food and beer were excellent! I didn't care much for the pig ears, but give them a shot if you're an adventurous eater.
I say give this place a try! The service was excellent (servers were friendly, and they knew the menus top to bottom)! The old fashion was delicious, a tad sweet, and paired well with the rye they use. The inside bar is a sweet setup, and last time I was there, they had a DJ for brunch - Nice spot definitely recommend it!
I'm not a beer person but those who are love it. I come for the food. There's an amazing chef who changes the menu with seasons. Brunch is spectacular and yes, served both Saturday and Sunday. You will delight in the small town feeling as you engage in walking around town enjoying the sights, sounds and delicious smells everywhere.
I was the wrong kind of person for them. Everytime I would go, i got creepy stares and bitchy attitudes. Its a no from me.

Top notch beer and hospitality. I found myself at Good Word this past weekend to attend their Little Beer Festival, and it was outstanding. Even while hosting a festival with hundreds on attendance they were still able to attend to folks in the taproom and provided us with what is likely the best brewery experience we’ve ever had. Todd and Ryan make some killer beers and truly care about when they do, you can see it every detail at Good Word. Also, an absolutely HUGE shoutout to Sam and Katie, some of the best in the biz. If you find yourself in the Duluth area don’t miss out on Good Word.
I've been here twice and both times had delicious food, excellent beers (so many to choose from) and great service. Fun atmosphere with plenty of room inside and out.
