Wonderful place to eat! The staff were very nice and attentive. The food was SUPER DELICIOUS. I loved all 6 rolls my friend and I ordered. They gave us an avocado cake too that I'd never had before, and it was SO GOOD. Will definitely order it again

Flying Roll is so so good. We had a great experience, even though there was only one waitress, she was very attentive. Fried Sushi was nice & crispy, the crab was fresh. Also had the combination fried rice, the streak and chicken were cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere, highly recommend!

DISAPPOINTED! This has been my go to sushi place for a while whenever I am in Duluth. I decided to get take out tonight and it was LOW QUALITY TO PUT IT MILDLY. Soggy spring rolls and sloppy veg tempura sushi. The sushi is not even “tempura sushi” - which is sushi with fried tempura on the inside. The entire roll is deep fried. Its absolutely disgusting. I don't think I will consume any of this! Or return to this establishment.

Was looking for a new sushi restaurant to try. I appreciated the easy to use online ordering and the pricing was reasonable. Our family did not enjoy the sushi sorry. Ordered 6 rolls and the general consensus was it was really bland and didn't taste fresh. Also, the rolls looked really unappealing and were not rolled well.

Very good place to eat sushiSo fresh.

This was my second visit. Like the first time, the customer service wasn’t nice and pleasant. Sushi roll was just thrown together and extremely wet. The food wasn’t seasoned. Overall, they seemed like they just did not care.

The food was pretty good, but we were really disappointed in the service. It was just, well, fine. Not friendly, almost like they couldn't have cared less whether we were there or not. I appreciate better.

LOVE their chicken teriyaki. Served in cast iron and simply delicious. Very good and fresh sushi with a great menu. Cozy place. Highly recommend.

This is the worst sushi I’ve ever had. Awful.

Ive given Flying Roll so many chances, and every time I go they disappoint me. Here are my reasons.1.) one time I walked in to pick up an order. There were no other customers in the restaurant and the owner was walking around. She never acknowledged me or made eye contact. I stood there for 5 full minutes and she never acknowledged me.I had to go back to my car and call and wait for her to pick up in order for her to speak with me so I could get my sushi.2.) today I called and placed an order for pickup.I got a combo and asked if they could do all salmon and tuna. They said it would cost $12 extra; not to get ADDITIONAL, but just to replace the 6 other pieces of fish.To me, it seemed like they were trying to nickel and dime me.3.) when I arrived to pick up my order at the time they told me to come, they told me it wasn’t ready yet. They told me to stand by the door, and I waited an additional 20 minutes while they served other customers that walked in after me who were picking up orders.4.) On average, the sushi is just okay. Some days, it’s really fresh, others it’s awful, and as I mentioned earlier they’re not accommodating on customer preferences.I’ve been so patient with this place but after multiple bad experiences, I’ll probably go to Sushi Café or Sushi Mio moving forward.
