Our first time here and we were blown away at the unique menu choices. We had the mole enchiladas (authentic mole with the bittersweet chocolate and espresso) and several tacos. Guacamole was made fresh to order. Service was excellent despite the place being packed. Food was served quick and hot. Will definitely be returning to try their other legit Mexican dishes.
I am very disappointed and sad that our weekly family dinners at Alebrije have come to an end. After almost three years coming here we had an extremely uncomfortable experience this past Thursday that will sadly prevent us from returning.We have been loyal weekly costumers for about three years now. They have taco Thursday specials where their tacos are $2. We were mistakenly charged regular price for the tacos and When we asked for a copy of the receipt, we were told it was being corrected so we waited. All of a sudden a lady comes to us with the corrected receipt and asks us of the service was good, to which we answer yes it was. She proceeded to say to is that if the service was good how come we left less than 15% gratuity? We were in shock. I had never been questioned for a gratuity. She said that the waitress there (similar to other places) just make a small amount per hour and that they rely on gratuity. She said that is customary in GA to leave 15%-18% when service is good. I was in shock that after almost three years of coming to this place and ALWAYS leaving tips we were being asked this question. We always leave tips, the days that the service is good and the days that is not so good. I did not understand why she was asking us frequent costumers that question. This particular time we left about 10% tip or a little more for a $25 check and only three people. The lady started raising her voice as we questioned her how much was she wanting us to leave for tip. What is more disappointing is that as the conversation continued and the owner came by and agreed with her and argued about not raising prices, that everything was expensive, that the waitresses made $2.5 or so an hour, etc. As a costumer that is not our business. They need to review their finances and adjust with inflation as needed. It is very bad taste to come to a frequent costumer table after they have enjoyed their family dinner and ask why did we not leave more tip. They have no idea why that specific day we decided to leave that amount of tip. They needed to remember all the other times in three years that we have left more tip. I say more because we always leave tip, always. I still have No idea how did this happened, or why they decided to approach us specifically about this that day. Very bad experience for us.
“Love at First Bite” I know what I’m about to write will sound weird so please just follow me…Alebrije Mexican has fancy sophisticated food at low prices and in a very casual environment/unassuming atmosphere. Ask for Elizabeth. She was our server and gave us the best service! -she was so knowledgeable and helpful!So don’t walk RUN ?♂️ to Alebrije!! I still can not pronounce the name of their restaurant but I’m in loooove!!Oh, I almost forgot; they have THE BEST margaritas and cocktails you’ve EVER had at a Mexican restaurant. They only use fresh organic ingredients ?
We’re looking for an authentic mexican flavor restaurant and the search takes us to this wonderful place, Alebrije Mexican Cuisine. Very nice place, CLEAN, wonderful service and even more wonderful food, the poblano soup is to die for. Desserts are delicious and they have very decent kids menu. Don Marcos, the owner was super friendly and explained the menu to us. This review is base on 3 different occasions and days of the week. 100 % Recommended
From the service to the food to the drinks and dessert everything was so good. We just happened to stumble upon this place and it was a refreshingly happy place. Would surely come back.
Had the Coconut shrimp and LOVED IT! My server Elizabeth was super sweet and funny, she made my first visit here amazing. 10/10 highly recommend coming here!
Today was my first visit and this place was so good! I wanted to enjoy the sun shine and sit on the patio and this was the perfect place! I met a regular customer on the patio and she recommended their quinoa salad. This salad was so delicious! I ordered my salad with shrimp. The service was very good! Angela was so friendly and nice and very attentive. I will be back! To all keep up the great works!
I love the food and service. One of the waitresses Angie spoke Spanish fluently therefore helping my family order off the menu and she was very friendly and communicative. The churros were delightful the flavor was very pleasant and the tacos were well put and so good I could eat order them repeatedly. 10/10 would definitely recommend going!! The margaritas are to die for!
We have been to many Latin and Mexican restaurants around and in Atlanta. This place was by far the best. Definitely try the tacos. The steak and brisket are amazing with the verde sauce. They also served a strawberry Moscow mule that night and it was amazing. Angela was our waitress and did an amazing job!! 100% will be coming back.
Hands down the best Mexican food I have ate in my life! I have been coming here for about half a year and the food is always delicious and the staff is always extremely friendly and attentive. Elizabeth is always my server in the afternoon, she is fantastic at what she does and is always friendly! 5 out of 5 stars!
