I used to really like this place but sadly the service and quality has been declining over the years.Ate here on Saturday with my wife and we had a horrible experience.First, the nengmyun noodles were way over cooked and close to mushy. Their nengmyun used to be good but the noodles are now always so overcooked and mushy.Second, either the A/C was broken or they just didn't turn it on, it was unbearably hot in the restaurant.And lastly, the servers were just straight up terrible. I spilled some soup (my fault) while trying to make room on the table for the server to put down our donkatsu. We started wiping the table down with our napkins and the server didn't even try to help or provide paper towels. She just glares and mutters something under her breath and leaves. And after we were done eating, we asked for a to-go box to a different server. She frowns at us and openly shows that our request annoys her. She did get us the to-go box but with plenty of attitude. Please fix your server's attitudes or just replace them with people who want to work.
Still a fan after the establishment changed ownership. The prices have raised slightly ($15 for donkatsu) but portions still remain huge.Purely food based review:Alfredo donkatsu - Not super sized as other donkatsu offerings but still solid. The Alfredo is slightly creamy and not over savory which is what I like. Gotta admit, the Chinese doughnuts as a side is an odd offering though.Naengmyeon with spicy pork (not pictured) - both were really good on a summer day! Their cold noodle dishes are huge!
Food was excellent, authentic, korean food. Very generous portion.
I would give 0 star if I could. The server wasn't friendly at all and she NEVER checked on us after bringing us food. It wasn't even busy. Our drinks was left empty and I needed a to go box but nobody offered us one, either. Food was ok but she brought food right after we placed an order. Donkatsu requires deep frying so how did they fix it so fast? It was really thin i couldn't even taste the meat all I taste was sause. I would've appreciated if she had asked if I wanted sause on top or side. After horrible service we left tip that she deserved. She looked us and said "what's this?" RUDE!! After we left the restaurant, other lady came out said "TIP! TIP!" Train your employees better before you demand customers for more tip!!!
Owner had changed. Signature donkatsu dish was locally known for being a great bang for buck because they give you an extremely large portion and it was delicious. Ever since owner has changed, I’ve tried it again multiple times and every time the donkatsu was significantly smaller. Taste was different too. Disappointed.
They have decent Korean style tonkatsu with great amount of serving. Sso-dduk (sausage & dduk) is also good.
I went here on lunch with a friend who spoke highly of the Pork Katsu and it was delicious! I wanted to try a couple different items such as the Jeon and the So Ddeok since I enjoy a good variety and thus far, I really enjoyed my experience. They were a smaller restaurant but they have great food and I am looking forward to coming back to them again. So far everything I tried seemed fresh and homemade so I liked it!
Best place in Gwinnett to get Tonkatsu. Their portions are extremely generous for what you pay for!
The best tonkatsu in the area. The meat is not too thin and not too thick and it is flavored all the way through. The Mac salad is really good and complements the crispy tonkatsu. Their service is very quick for lunch. My other dining companions ordered the naeng myun and they all agreed that the tonkatsu was the best.
Food was not bad but services received from servers were not okay...Asked for a to-go-box and waited over 10 mins, so I asked it again and waited more and finally got it after waiting like 15 mins for a to-go-box?!?!.I said thank you anyway but both server and cashier ignored me.... they didn't even say bye or any words when I was leaving... I was like where are the manners??... very disappointed... hopefully they see my comment here and treat other customers with better manners.
