I’d never go here after learning that they don’t allow guide dogs in any part of the restaurant, not even on the patio!! They will also lock you out before you have a chance to get across the threshold if you are wielding a guide dog. Very inconsiderate! DO BETTER!

Me and my husband Jeff went to eat lunch here on June 8, 2022 around 1:45 and was denied entrance by Felix because I am legally blind and use a guide dog. If you were standing in front of me, all I would see is your eyes and nose. We entered the first set of doors to have the second doors going into the restaurant open by Felix telling me I could not bring the dog into the restaurant, health code violation. I informed him Finnegan goes everywhere I go because I am legally blind and he is my guide dog. He went in and brought a lady to the door and said she didn’t want dogs in the restaurant either. I told him the ADA law says that I can. He said no dogs and went in and I heard the click of the lock. We stepped out the first doors and called 911 and the police came and told us that it was up to the individual establishment if they allowed dogs in or not and that they do not take sides. She took my statement and went in and took Felix statement. When she came back out she asked if the patio was offered that answer is NO. Both were totally in the wrong. Georgia Service Dog Code 30-4-21 states I am allowed equal accommodations in restaurants as anyone else. I was not aske any questions regarding my guide dog, just denied entrance. Finnegan was wearing his harness, tags, and “DON’T PET ME I’M WORKING, SOUTHEASTERN GUIDE DOGS, GuideDogs.org” harness sign.

If you have a disability avoid this place at all costs! The owner denied a guide dog for blindness and locked the doors because of health code concerns. He locked the doors abd wouldn’t let the guide dog in which is trained from Southeastern Guide Dogs. This is not only against the law but just a disgusting display of ableism and lack of humanity.

I tried to take my wife to lunch here today. My wife is legally blind with a certified, school-trained guide dog. The manager blocked us from entering the second door to the restaurant, saying dogs are a health department violation. He didn't ask what kind of dog it is, I tried to tell him about the federal Americans With Disabilities Act, but he wouldn't listen to a word. He told us to go to Olive Garden! I can't rate the food, we were denied service. We went outside and called the police to get a written report made before we call the government.

Fantastic food and service. Got my food fast, the cook even came out and asked how the food was which was unbelievable. Prices were very affordable. I highly recommend you try. I had the enchilada with rice and beans.

BEWARE OF PRICING! Absolutely nothing on their menu is priced “correctly”. Decided to give them a try since I haven’t been able to find good carnitas in the area & was totally shocked when I went to pay & was told my total was $70! No itemized receipt was given, actually no receipt at all. What should’ve cost me no more than $50 was some how $70. The food wasn’t great but wasn’t terrible. Definitely won’t be back after seeing how shady they are when it comes to the pricing on the menu. Absolutely horribly run business.

If I could give zero stars I would….the food is old… the service sucks… and I was over charged for my food… owner was not ringing up the prices that were on the menu. I payed 60.00 for a 23.00 dollar meal. Save yourself time and money! A total rip off. And to top it off I attempted to call the restaurant and they kept picking up and hanging up. I will be disputing the transaction

This restaurant has potential, but it has a lot of room for improvement.I love Mexican food, and have been to most of the restaurant in the Douglas County area. The positives : Don Tequilas is clean, plenty of seating, and well designed. The negatives : Restaurant was nearly empty, but service was very slow. Took a while to be acknowledged and served. They don't have draft beer (though it's on the menu). Food was ok, but not served as hot as I'm used to, and had a bit too much red sauce. Staff seemed a little confused about the menu items.I hope you'll improve, Don Tequilas. There is a lot of potential.

Very friendly, very delicious! Will be coming back this is the best food in Douglasville!

The best food with great prices. The service is always great. The drinks are great too ! 10/10
