We were very disappointed with the restaurant today. We have been coming to this location most Friday's since they opened. Unfortunately we have not been in a few months due to schedule changes, we have always enjoyed the meal and the restaurant until today. On many occasions while we were there we enjoyed conversations with the owners and enjoyed the family atmosphere. The place was disgusting today and we felt uncomfortable there as a family. The sweet tea container looked as though it had not been washed in days, and the tea smelled like it had went bad and the ice cream machine had been removed. Behind the counter looked as if it has not been cleaned and every table was dirty, we had to get paper towels ourselves to wipe off a table so that we could sit down. The forks were empty as well as all of the sauces. The trash was rolling out of the trash cans into the floor. The bathroom was so nasty and trash everywhere in there as well. The employees, once they served us our food went and sat down at the bar at the front window and into the back and gave no attention to the disarray of the restaurant. They were playing inappropriate music at a level that we could not even carry on a conversation together as a family with our meal. The owners need to rescue their business before they no longer have one.
I agree with Lauren. I had the same experience. The place is DISGUSTING. How has the health department allowed this to continue? If u need some help I have a teen looking for a job who would be glad to help you clean up. The food is good and everyone is friendly but please get the place cleaned up. I just hope I don’t get sick. I guess I shouldn’t have eaten it but my husband wanted it and I didn’t wanna make a scene by asking for a refund. But I definitely felt uncomfortable with the sanitation issues :((
Oh how I miss this place. I was a regular before moving out of town about two years ago. I have since tried multiple Dickeys from Texas to Arizona to SC and none have come close to the Douglasville location. They also are great for catering as they provided boxed meals for multiple events for our church.
I was ok. Not what I expected not as good nor the price was well. They also use premise store bought stuff. The same thing we buy. The mac and cheese was just regular velvet-a Shell. And they don’t use gloves nor masks. One more thing the pots aren’t clean. Good food but if wasn’t a good experience.
The food is great. Highly recommend the sausage. Interior could be a little more brightly lit, but that's just me. Also if you dine in you get free soft serve ice cream!
This was my first time ever going here, and I LOVE IT!!!! I got the 3-Rib Deal, ate two with some potato salad and I was FULL!!! I want to suggest more work on the baked beans, but the Brunswick Stew and everything else was PHENOMENAL!! Thanks so much!!!! Great Service ? indeed!!!!
My wife buys her BBQ from Dickey's every week. They greet her by her first name when she comes by. Great service always. Food is great!!!
We've eaten at Dickey's several times and it's always good! I was never a fan of brisket until I had theirs. Sides are good too.
I had lunch catered from there for a company meeting, and it received rave reviews. Food was great and the manager Win had everything prepared perfectly. I will visit again when in Douglasville. Great BBQ and service!
Food was cold and the serving portions was terrible for the ridiculous amount of money they charge! The food had no taste no flavor and definitely not real barbecue! Had 3 meat plate with no portions and will definitely not patronize this establishment again!
