My friend and I stopped by to get ice cream. I asked if they sold chocolate soft serve and was told they did. I proceeded to order a double dipped chocolate cone and specified with chocolate soft serve. I also ordered a small chocolate fudge blizzard also with the chocolate soft serve. The coffee came back with vanilla ice cream and melting chocolate, which my friend accepted although, that's not what she ordered. The manager fixed my blizzard with vanilla ice cream and got so upset when I told the young lady, that wasn't what I ordered. The manager then disappeared. The young lady started fixing me another cone which again, was not what I ordered. So she finally fixed the blizzard with the chocolate soft serve ice cream. It was the messiest blizzard I've ever had at a DQ. Although, the young lady had a pleasant personality, it didn't cover for the lack of listening from the start and surely not the manager's nasty and dismissive attitude. It wasn't as if I wasn't a paying customer. Needless to say, I will never patronize that DQ again, nor, will I refer anyone there. Thankfully, my experiences with DQ in the past have been positive. Otherwise, this experience would have jaded my view of the chain.
I was waiting in the drive through, and witness an older gentleman picking his nose in the kitchen area while handling money. The only reason why I excepted my order is because he was not the one preparing it.. ( and already paid ) and on top of that, the food has always been lack lustered. Everything in my food bag was thrown and half wrapped. Worst crispy chicken sandwich I have ever gotten from a dairy queen. Before I went to this DQ I was warned ⚠️ but did not listen, I will now read the warnings. ?? would not recommend ever again.
If I could give zero stars I would. This blizzard was terrible, awful, horrible. I think they dumped the bottom of the container of topping into this blizzard and it was tiny crumbs of stale gross tasting chocolate and powdery whatever substance. And the cherry on top was the pecans were RANCID. It tasted horrible. I won’t be coming back to this location. I drove 30 minutes to get here and wasted my time and money on this nasty blizzard and now I’m hoping I don’t get sick from the bad spoiled pecans that were completely rancid and tasted like death, that they put in my blizzard. Unacceptable.
I hadn't had a banana split in 4eeeevvveeeerrrr!!Man it was good!!! Talk about bringing back happy memories of being a kid and mom saying you guy want some ice cream and everybody gets the banana split which was always too much ice cream for me. Don't order ahead or it will be melted by the time you get there my fault
1st of all the owner was very intimidating towards the staff. The store was DIRTY......very. Also the "ICE CREAM CAKES" were just that... ICE. They were SO freezer burned. THEY STILL HAD CHRISTMAS CAKES... CHRISTMAS CAKES!!!!??♀️??♀️??♀️??♀️But the staff was very nice and very friendly. Mind you the owner was sitting at the register while the line was forming and his employees busy making orders. He just sat there ?.Do I recommend??? ??♀️atleast my order was right.
Today I tried the New Deluxe two cheese burger. The burger was fresh and well constructed. It is not worth 6 dollars and change. The price point should be 4.50. The only change I would make is open flame grill the burger and it would be perfect. In fairness the burger was good and fresh. A little fire would take this burger over the top. Everything is high right now, it still needs to be good for the price.
Food was cold. My order was incorrect. I know they were busy so I will give it another chance.
Love the ice cream. Enjoyed the time with the grandkids. The lady at the counter could have been more welcoming (smile).
Such a great place on highway 5 in Douglasville Georgia if you're looking for a great snack and ice cream this is the place to go
I love coming here and getting the Royal Cheesecake Blizzard. Maybe a little too much according to my pants. But, hey. That’s just the price of having a delicious ice cream right after dinner.
