It a Taiwanese restaurant , noodles and more. It’s really good food and good portions. The menu is loaded with pork plates . I don’t eat pork , because of my faith. that is why I would not eat in this restaurant again.
I had the Kawawa Ramen and my sister had the Tonkatsu Ramen. Both were amazing for completely different reasons. It was a first time for both of us to eat real Ramen. The Kawawa broth was delightfully spicy, the kimchi and bamboo were good, the pork belly was great, and the eggs were perfect!!! The Tonkatsu was like a familiar and comforting chicken noodle soup on steroids. The seaweed and sesame was a new combination, but was delicious, as was the bamboo, pork belly, and egg! We received excellent and quick service, and quality of the food was incomparable. The atmosphere was relaxed and soothing, and the restrooms were clean and smelled nice. Highly recommend everything about this experience!
TL;DR - Worth a try. I hope you don’t get dizzy with TV monitors on the side and on the restaurant's top.You order your pot. Check my pictures for all the options! You get various levels of spicy for your pot. Each pot comes with a bowl of rice. Add-on will be extra. There is a page full of items for you to choose from.We order two side dishes and one pot. That was enough for both of us. If you plan to visit for your first time and order dishes, I recommend ordering one pot for two people.Octopus salad is filled with sauce, but the sauce is not overwhelmingly strong. With the cold texture, the salad is very refreshing. We ordered the Thai Spicy and Sour pot. I’m glad we ordered it with medium spicy. The spicy didn’t cover the sourness of the soup.My biggest complaint about this place is the TVs mounted on the roof directly above your head. There is a constant change in lightning which is super annoying.
This little hidden gem is a must try! Great food, amazing presentation, and the whole vibe is super unique and cozy! Found it by accident, and we’re definitely returning.
Great customer service and food is delicious!
Beautiful concept for the dining experience. The roof has a large screen with many backgrounds. Servers were attentive and food came out fast however the time we went was very slow and not busy. The beef broth and Taiwanese seafood broth were very tasty and the “mix ins” that came with the broth were a good variety of meat and vegetables. At each table there are four sauces: hot oil, soy sauce, sweet chili, and chili bean. The presentation is very beautiful, each broth is set on a pedestal holder with a mini flame under it. We were wary that the food wouldn’t be enough but it was a perfect amount. You can also order more sides, we got a side of tripe. Highly recommend
This place was awkward and underwhelming. It's kind of a mess. There is this weird ever changing screen over head. It's massive, like 30 feet long and constantly changing colors, makes for a jarring experience. The seats are too low and uncomfortable and the ambiance is not suited to dining. The food was underwhelming. I got the tom yum hotpot and my buddy got the beef. Most hot pot places let you cook the food yourself, this place didn't. As a result, I ended up with a bunch of overcooked seafood. The base soup was fine. I got the spicy. It just was not worth the 20 dollar price tag. We did get the octopus salad appetizer and the dumplings. The dumplings were under seasoned. They need a lot of help here, not worth the trip.
My wife is from Taiwan and loves her hot pot. HiPot is delicious, she doesn’t like too spicy and was very happy with the flavor. Place is very clean and waiter very nice. Came on a Monday and order was ready in about 8 minutes. Definitely a must visit. We got the veggie bowl and had tofu, cabbage, zucchini, toro and more.
First timer for hot pot dining but our server walked us through the menu & suggested Japanese Miso hot pot so we could share. I also ordered the dumplings & an extra plate of shaved beef to throw in. The broth was delicious & all of the seafood, meat & veggies were all satisfyingly good. Definitely enough for 2 people. I also got a mango iced tea which had a ginger zing to it...very refreshing. Fun experience!
Incredible hot pot location on Buford Highway. The quantity of food you get for the price you pay is amazing and the flavor doesn’t suffer for it.I personally enjoy spicy food and the spice level given was just right: mild enough to still enjoy the flavors, but spicy enough to give a nice kick. The sides are good too but not as great as the hot pot itself. The stinky tofu, for example, is definitely an acquired taste.Overall I highly recommend this place!
