One of my favorite places to eat, open late night which is so convenient when you have a late shift. The food is always so delicious! The rice and beans not consistent, some days it's popping with flavor and others it tastes plain, I do wish there was some consistency there as all the other foods are so delicious. Doesn't stop me from coming back though since it's just a side dish.

Timing is everything, you have to get there when it's in between lunch & dinner and still be prepared to wait for a table. But, the wait is worth it. Parking is confusing, since there's never any place to park. So, I parked by the shops across the street, it would be nice if they indicated where additional parking was for their patrons.

One of the best places for authentic Mexican food in the Atlanta area. They have the best lengua taco I ever had. The green creamy sauce on the table is so good I put it on everything. Server was super friendly and attentive. This is must go if you want real Mexican food.

So yummy and mini tacos are so cute!! Also not that expensive

Taco de barbacoa was delicious I've been here before. Definitely recommend coming food to eat Mexican food

I've been to El Rey Del Taco several times. They never disappoint. The tacos are delicious! I was able to try one of the new shrimp tacos and it was amazing! They serve you a huge cup of agua fresca. I highly recommend eating there.

TL;DR - Good taco, excellent price. Stop by Kong Fu Tea for Boba tea afterward for dessert! We signup for Yelp waitlists, but I guess they don’t use it anymore. You have to sign up for the waitlist outside of the restaurant. It was not a pleasant experience.Tacos smell so amazing!! I almost want to drop writing my reviews. We got two of each of the tacos: beef tongue, beef cheek, and pork. The pork is slightly overcooked and dry. The beef is fantastic!! It’s tender and juicy with a punch of flavor. I highly recommend you try them out.I had the strawberry, Margarita. There is a very slight hint of strawberry and sweetness. Also, there is not overwhelming alcohol in it as well. This might be a positive or negative depending on your preference.Service is not the best. Our waiter was rushing the entire time. There weren’t even that many people in the restaurant. It was great to see plastic dividers between seating booths. Mask is a requirement but it is a enforced. Also, good luck finding a parking spot during busy hours.

I came here twice at night, and both times, there was a medium sized crowd standing outside waiting to get in. You can check in with the people in the tent at the front and they will text you when you’re ready to get in.The tacos here are incredible. I’d highly recommend the octopus and shrimp ones, both of which are somewhat spicy. I ordered a bunch of random tacos off their menu which were all good, but those two were a standout. They also give you free chips and salsa while you wait which is also a plus!

I've been to El Rey 3-4 times now and have never been disappointed. I've only tried their burritos and tacos, but both were fantastic. Tacos had fresh corn tortillas, meats full of flavor, and cilantro, onions, and lime to top it off. Burritos were mostly meat, but didn't feel lacking at all. I now try to introduce people I know to El Rey because it is that good. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for Mexican food in ATL/Buford.

I absolutely love the El Rey for two. The variety of flavors. I’ve ordered this dish so many times and it’s literally never disappointed me.
