We decided to check this place out since Cuckoo was still open and other places were closing up at around 9:30pm. Very glad we came.We got the honey dew and matcha milk teas with cheese foam and the brown sugar milk tea. It was all very good! We were craving more by the time we finished them and were home but that’s in midtown, if we had lived closer we just might have gone back for seconds lol.
Chicken nuggets are good, I've never had a problem at this place until today on 6/12/22 , I order winter melon milk tea with tapioca pearls n cheese foam they told me" in order to pay with card ,a min of 8$ is required". The cashier girl said, I thought to myself " ok np". So I order another item chicken nuggets but that's not the issue.. the guy messed up n forgot to add pearls and the girl said " you didn't order it" .. so in my head you're calling me a liar????.. until I show her the receipt , n she got quiet. Today staff is under train& unprofessional. Plus the guy barely gave me any cheese foam after remaking it. He was decent enough to remake me order which was nice but atleast do it right.. Mann I used to wrk at a boba spot ... This place should take notes from other Boba places like Kung Fu tea across the street or Share Tea atleast they ,so far provide excellent customer service n would just fix your drink how u like it!! Heres a pic of the cheese foam in my drink if there is any , man.. I could've put this bad service n product on tik -tok .
The tea here is always amazing. The peach milk tea is delicious and kind of unique. Taylor was super sweet and put on Disney music for my son when we came in✨
It is my new favorite place! I love their spicy Taiwanese chicken nuggets! It taste the freshest! It does not taste like they use old and cheap chicken like some other places around there. Also, you can actually bit into chicken meat and not just batter! I also love their Sun Blossom drink! It is very consistent! It is green tea base. My husband ordered their royal milk tea and it was amazing as well! So far it seem like you can adjust the sugar and ice level for the drinks but i suggest you try their regular sugar and ice level on your first time before making changes. Their bubbles is on point! Soft, sweet and chewy! Give this place a try! I love it!
NOTE: $8 minimum for cardI'm sure we all miss the Tea House Formosa that used to be here, but I think it's fair to say Cuckoo's is a great alternative. The variety and quality of food and drinks is great. My group certainly had delicious drinks, and the servings are more than reasonable compared to nearby places. The layout, decor, and vibes are more comfortable than traditional teahouse, but not much has changed at the same time.
UPDATE: So went back to speak With the owner he was very nice and really helped us to understand the difference between the flavored fruit tease versus the tea cocktails which have the real fruit. She actually made us two free fruit cocktail passionfruit with Boba and it was really good. Great service I will definitely go back for the fruit tea cocktails with Boba those have the real fruit! This is an owner that really stands behind their business and helping to make things right and also explaining the difference in their menu with the optionsTo be honest this was my first time last night and was very disappointed with the taste of the tea and the fact that they don’t use real fruit for their fruit teas I use syrup-based sugar additives to flavor the taste of certain fruit teas. I got a passion fruit tea and unlike some of the other Boba places that I’ve been to there was no real fruit of any sort in this drink. Don’t honestly think will go back at all. There are better boba tea places on Buford Highway.
Horrible service!!There are "children" working the counter amd they act like it. They turned of the menu before closing hours and people in front of us had no idea what they wanted! They left angrily of course. Luckily we know what we want and proceded to order. Once our order was taken we where completely ignored, my girlfriend directly asked a question pertaining to sugar in a drink. Nothing. She was not 5 feet away. I know the kids wanted to close and go home but it wasn't time yet.Needless to say after this awful experience we won't come back. There's bubble tea elsewhere, your not special enough to act like a-holes Cuckoo.
An amazing little cafe. Amazing boba and an extensive offering of small snacks, deserts and meals. Great place to chill, meet a friend or do work, highly recommend! Great music selection, and the bird is adorable!
I actually prefer this cuckoo over the overhyped and overcrowded Duluth location. It's smaller but better decorated and cleaner. Staff is attentive without being nitpicky, and other patrons are polite and considerate of each other. Great study environment, and excellent music selection. O and the chicken sandwich (I like it spicy!) And the milk tea is yummy of course. Will be back!
