My fav Indonesian restaurant place to eat. Every time I fly to Atlanta for work, this is a must stop for me. All their food are delicious, very affordable and best of all, all the employees are super duper nice.
My wife loves to visit and eat here. Makes her feel like being back home. The food is fresh and flavorful. Please visit, taste the cuisine without, flying 24 hours.
I’ve been visiting Batavia since they were at their old location a few years ago. They’ve never failed to satisfy my cravings for Mi Goreng, which is my go-to, despite their wide variety of dishes. They also have a small market where you’ll find a decent stock of Asian grocery items.
This is our second time here and we love! There is always something new to try! Sometime it can taste strange to us as we are not Indonesian but if you love to try something new, this is the place! The place is small. The workers are super friendly. Their food plats are pretty cheap! I believe rice with two meats and vegetables is about $10.00 and they give you a lot! This is a small grocery that serve hot food as well. For sure will stop by more often!
Food portions are huge. Casual place with grocer inside with Indonesian snacks and chocolates. Owner was very pleasant. Trust my reviews.
Batavia has the best beef tendon curry that I've ever had in my life and probably the only place I know that serves this. I almost want to keep this place a secret so I only get all the tendon to myself. Every dish here is amazing. The classic Rendang is super rich and flavorful. The tripe is 2nd to none. You get lots of amazing veggie dishes too. My favorite is probably their eggplant. Soooo good! I love that it is a small family business and I can feel and taste the authenticity. I eat the food and just imagine I am sitting on the village side of Indonesia with aunties home cooking. I'm so happy we have this here in Atlanta. I have already came back about 6 times in a month. I need my home cooking with home portions, home love and hospitality and for that I will be a forever guest here at Batavia. I want to eat here for the rest of my life.
The to go place if you are craving Indonesian food. This is not a fancy place at all, but the food is good and they have cafeteria style food. They also sells Indonesian groceries- get the Indomie, gado2 sauce, tempeh, batagor, otak2 here.
The food is really good but the beef rendang was not as I had expected. The grocery store within the restaurant was a real winner. They sold Gula Melaka or Gula Jawa, petai, a very stinky vege ( that's loved by SE Asians), ondeh-ondeh (much-loved dessert). And loved their friendliness. The location was not a winner for me. A bit dodgy.
Small little place with execlent food. My goal is to get back and try the lamb.
We were in Atlanta and we found an authentic Indonesian restaurant. We fell in love with Indonesian food during a family vacation to Bali. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were much larger than the photos on the menu. They also have Indonesian groceries available for purchase. I definitely recommend this gem.
