This place is absolutely magical! And they've made it with so much love! There's the coffee shop itself, with great coffee and food. I got a blueberry scone with a shot in the dark and it was all delicious. My coffee was awesome, very flavorful, complex, and strong. The guys who worked there were really nice. The dining area is cool, full of nice places to sit and shelves full of books and games. I came in the middle of a week day, so no surprise there wasn't a show going on, but still there were people hanging out.Outdoors was the best, though. There is a great spacious area, shaded under tree cover, with a stage and plenty of seating for live shows, complete with a fire pit. It must be great in the evening or on the weekend with a band on. There is every type of seat you can imagine, from picnic tables to hammocks. I sat in a plastic adirondack chair, kicked back, and felt so at home. Robins and chipmunks came near. And then, as I explored, I got an even better surprise. There was a freshly mown woodland path! It followed the stream and terminated in a beautiful little wild area. It branched and consisted of a series of little paths, a stand of kudzu brilliantly turned into a natural, intimate space. You could tell someone put a lot of work in and really made this place something special. They've really maxed out what can be done with the space. I went in for a cup of coffee and ended up with this sweet adventure! I didn't follow the path in the other direction, mostly because I want to have something to look forward to, as I will definitely be coming back. It's just a beautiful place. I can't believe all this is here and I didn't know! 10/10
Had a great time. The sound was great for the band we saw. There's a cool and relaxing outside grove. I want to return and watch a band outside.
Love the coffee, baked goods, vibe and staff! Last weekend, we got 3 coffee boxes for a party. Each box was $20. I emailed the owner a few days before to set up the order. The email was responded to within an hour. They supplied cups, sleeves and all the fixings. The coffee was ready to go at the designated pick up time. Everyone loved the coffee! So happy to support a local coffee place rather than a chain.
Wallers serves some of the best coffee in the area. The humble environment is warm and welcoming. The employees are always kind. I love the art and craft kits that you can peruse while you’re in line.
Waller's is a very quaint location with a genuinely one-of-a-kind outdoor seating selection. The coffee my girlfriend had was very good and I generally am not a coffee fan. We each got a biscuit and agreed they were good, but nothing crazy. The indoor seating has plenty of options but seems to be dedicated to people studying/working-- seriously more quiet than any library I've been to. They have a good assortment of pastries and we went with "The Waller," pretty good but again, nothing crazy. Nonetheless, absolutely a good coffee shop to keep in the arsenal.
Hands down the BEST coffee shop I've ever been too!I'm a nature lover, so the #OuterSpaceAtWallers with the outdoor nature trails, thick shaded canopy, outdoor music stage, hammock, fire pit, and even a serene babbling creek to walk or sit by as you enjoy your coffee....that's what drew me to Waller's at first.I mean, does YOUR coffee shop have a fire pit? A hammock? Nature trails with a creek? Indoor and outdoor stage? How about them homemade biscuits, though? ;)Waller's is more than just a coffee shop. It's a beacon of Light in the Decatur community. A place that promotes local artists and mental health.Go check out the Artists Market on Saturday's!
Love this place! The service is always good, prices are very fair, and best of all - the coffee is delicious! Cortado is my go-to, it's perfect every time. The espresso has such a nice flavor and with the perfect balance of steamed milk it needs nothing additional.
Great coffee and tea all day.Awesome lunch spot and great, friendly service. Turkey avocado wrap is my favorite quick lunch. Thanks.
Great cafe, inexpensive, eclectic, space to work or hang out. Plenty of snacks, art, crafts, games, bulletins. They host frequent events for local musicians and artists.
I worked here and I got the Turkey wrap. It was good and I enjoyed work cos it was quiet. The main issue I had was that it was reallyyy cold. I asked a few people there and they complained as well. Everyone wore a jacket inside and it was just uncomfortable. The staff placed a mobile heater closer to me after I complained and I’m grateful for that.
