Ah there aren’t enough great reviews I can leave for this location. Since it’s been open I believe my husband and I have been about 15 times collectively. Each time is always a pleasure! The owner is always around (not that he’s needed) but it’s great to see him every-time you enter the establishment! His workers are always pleasant to speak with and play close attention to the orders placed. If there’s any concerns with an order they are quick to explain and fix anything that needs to be corrected. I love going during happy hour just to save a few coins as I use to frequent Smoothie King but now since Tropical smoothie has been open we have found a healthier, friendly, & consistent pricing we will continue to support!
When did this location start charging customers for masks? Last time I visited this location my daughter went in and an employee provided her with one free of charge. Refusing service to people who don’t want wear masks is fair and I respect it and encourage it, but charging customers for masks when you guys are only a tropical smoothie is absurd. This sounds like a bright idea from one person in this establishment to pocket some extra money. You guys will lose more service from not only myself but other customers in the community. Please correct this. It’s not a good look.
Had a TERRIBLE customer service experience yesterday. I placed an online order, and I was just coming to pick up my order and they refused to give me my order due to me not having on a mask. However, I order from them all the time and I’ve been coming to this location since it opened. I would probably say that I spend close to $60-$75 a week because I’ve always been a fan of the Blimey Limey smoothie and the plant protein they offer for vegans. I have been inside plenty of times without a mask, and it was no issue picking up my order or I will have it delivered via Uber. I don’t have anything against wearing a mask, it’s just that at the time when I went in that night I didn’t have another in my vehicle. And I was told I can purchase one for $1. I was very offended to spend $1 to wear it for 2 seconds to have my order handed to me. Yes my order was already made, paid for and was sitting literally behind the counter. I can see if I came in trying to place an order without a mask and you refuse service, but the fact that my food was already paid for and they would not give me my order is sickening. My family has ordered with the same location before, because we are fans and support businesses in our area. And they have provided a mask for my family, and wasn’t given a $1 fee for a mask. I asked for a refund, because I was not about to pay $1 for 2 seconds of wearing a mask for a online order placed for $14.20. This just reminds me daily of why I would rather travel further out to the North Decatur location of about 20 miles before I give this location another dollar. My family and friends will not be supporting this location either, and would travel further for better customer service.
The food is always good ,tasty and hot ! They give great service . Every time I come in I am greeted with so much pleasure ! The girl that works counter with the bun she always know what I am going to get , she is amazing ! keep up the good work !!!!
The smoothies are awesome and they have tasty food options also. Amazing customer service and on the rare occasions I experienced an issue, it was quickly resolved with no hassle. I order frequently and will continue to do so. Great job to the Tropical Smoothie team, you’re all absolutely awesome.
Ordered the chipotle chicken and it came with free chips. I also ordered the sunrise sunset. Everything was a 10! First time ordering from here, but I will definitely be back. Ingredients were so fresh, smoothie refreshing and light. I'm so happy I chose this restaurant.
First off! I’m glad we have a location in our community. This is a positive post but also I’m providing feedback in this way because our business owners have to keep the same standard of product that we expect in other areas in Atlanta that I will not mention. So regarding this location, I understand opening pains, training, staff etc. my first three visits were excellent. I met the owners, food was great service is still great, however the last two times my wraps have been made very badly. Each time the wrap was not cut through completely and the wrap was loose. Once before they missed the key ingredient in my smoothie ( banana ) and they had to remake it, the employee remade it but what he did was open my drink cup poured it into the blender bowl and added the ingredients, mixed it and gave it back to me. Since the owners didn’t appear to be there I just left and I was going to tell them last night 12/11/2021 but didn’t see them again, also I know they can’t be there all the time. Note to all that read this post I gave a 4 star rating in lieu of this experience because I want the location to strive but I want the managers and owners to watch the food making process and tweak or correct anything that may not be right. What we don’t need is another subpar restaurant in our area. We don’t have to be nasty or angry when we will any location know what our experience was but we must tell them because they don’t know what we don’t share. I wish this location the best and I want them to be an example of what great service and food looks like in the south dekalb area!
Smoothie was subpar. All of the ingredients were not mixed together. Every time I took a sip I had a clump of something in my straw. Not sure if the person who made it was in a hurry or not but it’s quite unacceptable. As much as I love smoothies I will not be visiting this shop again. Had this been an isolated incident I’d be inclined to try them again but this happened on two different occasions.
Today I had the new Caprese Grill Cheese and it was Amazing to say the least. I live way on the other side of town but will drive here to be greeted by the super friendly and enterjectic staff. Beside they know how to make my Pomergrante Plung with spinach added just right. I'll recommend this location to Everyone.
I was so relieved to see this store open because Flat Shoals/Candler rd hardly has any healthy options. The service was friendly, fast, and the food is just as good as what I remembered from living in MI.
