I was visiting Atlanta for a weekend (basketball tournament) and decided to find coffee along my route (rule: has to be local). The Corner Cup Coffee seemed like a great place to stop and check out. At first, I thought it was one of those “coffee” spots part of the gas station since it was really close to CITGO gas station. Before you know it, it was right at the corner (DUH!) of a small strip mall right next to a Barber Shop. From outside it looked like a convenience store but walking in I felt I love with the funky feel and blue colors. The barista were incredible polite and smiling which only added to good vibes.I ordered a macchiato and the almond croissant. Coffee was rich with plenty of flavor and croissant was solid as well (but I should have warmed it up a little bit). I also love their logo!Interestingly when I came in around 10:35am in Sunday it was pretty slow, but literally as I put my order in about 15-20 people walked in. If I lived in the area this would most certainly be my spot!Highly recommend The Corner Cup and please do try their pastries!
I'm not a coffee drinker so I come here for pastries. I think they have the best thumbprint cookies ever. My wife loves their coffee so I assume it's up to par with the best in the city.
The iced soy latte was amazing. And the staff was super upbeat and friendly. They saved me. I needed coffee and I’m on vacation and left my wallet back home. They take Apple Pay ?
This is definitely a Tucker gem. Great coffee with friendly service. they also sell art from local artists! my new favorite coffee spot 100%
The guy with the glasses makes THE BEST chai latte in the world. So good. The other baristas make it pretty good, but if you swing by while glasses guy is working, prepare to be blown away. You rock glasses guy!
Homey little spot with friendly staff and good coffee flavors. The milk definitely should have been foamed more in my latte. As a result, I wound up with a fairly milky drink. Chocolate muffin was just okay too, not as good as I had hoped. Might give the spot another try later on.
This is the first and original location of Rich and Michael's coffee shop adventure (the 2nd shop will be found in Tucker, just off Main Street). The coffee that they source is from a family owned coffee farm located in Nicaragua (Selva Negra) that was founded in the late 1800s. The beans are roasted weekly with Beanealogy and you will always get a cup of quality brew. And for those who are curious, the beans from Selva Negra are typically wet processed (washed), which just means that the cherry is typically removed before the drying/fermenting process. As far as coffee goes, you will not be disappointed with the care taken to administer your dose of caffeine here; then again, if the quality of the beans are high, the rest should follow easily. I've had many a sad macchiato in Atlanta and I've yet to be disappointed here. The owners and the employees care about the product they serve to their community.Speaking of community, they work with local artists by promoting their pieces. When you walk in, you will usually see a plethora of paintings, artisanal plates, and other handmade crafts hung or on shelves along the wall.Lastly, you'd be supporting an LGBTQI+ establishment as the owners are themselves members and employ many who are members or allies. What more is there to say? The business serves quality coffee, is run by quality people, and promotes quality from the community it directly serves. If you like, love, or want to get into coffee and wish to experience something other than the typical sterilized, modern feel of corporate coffee (that so often propagate our streets these days), then I implore you to walk into The Corner Cup. I promise that it will not disappoint you.It certainly did not disappoint me. And, believe me, there is much disappointment to be found within the Perimeter.
A wonderful local coffee shop! I had a salty and sweet my wife had a red hot winter both were incredible! I highly recommend you go here its a must if you like cappuccino! Oh the staff is fabulous ?
