Dillon was great. This was our first time here and he helped explain everything on the menu and gave his recommendations. The restaurant was clean and food was great!
Very delicious and affordable! Love the thick soft bread. Plus a very cute shop with lovely Japanese snacks. The service is slow as most places short-staffed now.. but people are very nice and friendly, so I still give 5 stars. I got a babo tea from the TEALEAF next door as well.
There is parking available right by the restaurant but it does get busy during mealtimes. It is primarily indoor seating, but there is one or two tables outside as well.The menu is small as it focuses on a few items. No alcoholic drinks but there is Asian speciality teas and sodas.Tenya chicken sando with fries: the sando is definitely filling, but the chicken is very hard to chew. The fries were really good though! Nice and crunchy and very flavorful.Japanese curry chicken rice bowl: not enough curry sauce, chicken is super chewy and hard to swallow. Very small amount of potatoes and carrots, plus the curry flavor isn’t in the vegetables either.
Was pleasantly surprised by this place! The interior is so cute and aesthetic. The staff was very sweet, and as someone who has worked for small restaurants, I was very happy to support the business. I ordered the Chicken curry (like Katsu Curry Rice but with chicken instead of the usual pork), and it was perfect! A large portion of quality food for a great price in my opinion. I also recommend the peach sparkling water! They have a fun assortment of candies and drinks. Love to have such a wonderful little place so close to home! :) Will definitely be back soon.
Love this place! The service and food are always spot on. All of the dishes I've tried have been delicious, but my favorite has to the pork bowl; it's so incredibly tender and flavorful. Definitely a spot you have to check out!

This was an absolute amazing lunch. The food was not only delicious but it was packaged beautifully. The soba noodles were perfect. The sando along with the rice bowl was delicious. In a world of overpriced food, their pricing was very affordable. I am not a fan of eating out however I will be returning to Tanya!
Really just wonderful. Small selection of food, but makes it easy and all had great flavor. If you come for nothing else, the team that works here is fantastic. Made quite the impression and helped me make the perfect choice for dinner!
Simple, clean and delicious. Stumbled upon this eatery, while in Decatur. Didn’t disappoint. Braised pork melts in your mouth, rice is warm and perfectly cooked, slaw is balanced, the radish and cucumber play a good role all mixed in together. Love their hot tea. Can’t wait to go back and try what else is on the menu. Owner is very welcoming. It was a great experience! Thanks!
OMG! This place is awesome! The milk bread is phenomenal. The chicken is tender, juicy and flavorful and the slaw just sets the sandwich off. The fries are so perfectly crisp, I’m sure I could eat them cold! That’s if I had any left, lol! Oh, did I mention the complimentary hot tea in real mugs… Go! Now!
