TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Drive thru only and they refuse Doordash, Grubhub and Uber drivers orders. Rude, Ghetto and LAZY especially the fat light skin lady. This is what they have up on all of the pull up menus RIGHT NOW
Firstly, at 8:30PM I did not expect for the service to be this atrocious… This location needs serious corporate help. I was at the speaker for about 5 minutes with the mic from the employee on. At first, I didn’t mind as I could over hear the employee taking care of the customers that just placed their order.. THEN I hear the employee flirting with someone over the mic “You have to text me first before you get a hug” ( and much more that I can’t remember). Then music starting to play extremely loud. Not store appropriate music at all. I honestly should have left then, but I already went down the street to get cash, as they were only accepting cash at this time, and wanted the extra time and drive to be worth it. Also, I don’t live in the area and there are no Sonics near me. After the endless advertising I’ve been seeing on Hulu I wanted to give it a try. Anyway, I drive to the window to place the order. Music starting to play even LOUDER. Honestly, so embarrassing and at this point I’m irritated I have already paid for my meal. I considered just leaving and taking the small loss, but there was no way I was giving the company money for nothing. As I’m waiting (at this point another 10 minutes) I hear this loud screech “laughter” over and over. At one point I look up and realize someone is looking at me from behind a shelf. At this point I’m like oh, probably laughing at my hair. It’s halfway done and does look a little crazy and I could see how that would be funny. But, for the amount of time it carried on along with the awful loud screeches and hiding behind a shelf reminded me of something a toddler would find that funny. I get my food finally after 15 minutes, and of course it’s completely wrong. Luckily I haven’t left the window yet. Another 10 minutes later and I finally get my corrected meal which is OK. I would have been just fine never visiting a Sonic in my life. And after this, I will DEFINITELY never visit this location again. There is no way any supervisor was on duty, and sadly the staff at this location isn’t mature enough to not have some type of authority there. I can say with every fiber in my body, this location could be ran better by 6th graders. It seems that may have been the case actually, and that shows.
I pulled in at 1120pm. I buzzed in, the young lady told me to hold a minute and she would be right back. I buzzed again at 1138pm. She says, "we're closed" and turn off the lights. I buzzed again, " ma'am I've been sitting here almost 20 minutes and you said you would be back to take my order". She replied, we're closed again. Mind you I pulled in at 1120pm, told they were closed at 1138pm, but they close at 12am??????
This location is too slow. Even if you place a mobile order, it still takes longer. And on this particular day, the ice cream machine was broke. Don't let their inspection score of 100, fool you! I should have went to the Lithonia location on Covington Hwy. Next time, I'll go to the Lithonia location which is much faster whether you have placed a mobile order nor not. And not to mention it, I paid for a master blast but because their ice cream machine was down, I couldn't get a refund. It was either let them keep the money or go with something else to drink. Come on...Sonic should offer refunds because I don't have any way of knowing if the ice cream machine was down. It certainly doesn't tell me through the app. This location needs improvement or something and just because you have a restaurant inspection score of 100, doesn't mean anything!!!
It's not fair to the workers to comment on the food, as I never received it. Not all of the order stations were in working order, and customers were presumably prioritized by drive through window first, app orders second, and parked cars third. The parking order screens even encouraged downloading the app over using the equipment in place. I'm sure they are doing the best that they can with what they have, but they really need more people. The rating should reflect the decision to keep payroll down at the expense of customer service.
I’m visiting Atlanta and I stopped to get a bite to eat and the staff had an absolute attitude…. They messed up my order and had a problem with fixing my order…. I was like what’s the problem…. The dude with the pretty eyes was extremely rude…. He closed the door on me while I was talking…. All I wanted was some Sonic because we don’t have one in Pennsylvania…. It’s a shame that I had to have such a horrible experience…. I’ll never eat Sonic again…. After spending $26.00 for a terrible experience!
Tried to take my guys here to eat after leaving the landfill but they were drive through only. Most likely because they are understaffed so I can understand that. What I don't understand is a guy specifically came outside to say it's drive through only. After realizing part of their drive through is hanging so any vehicle over 8 feet will hit it. I pressed the button on one of the machines to ask them for another way to order. Instead of giving me another option they repeated drive through only. Customer service is important. If someone can come walk outside and tell us it's drive through only then y'all could of took the order for the vehicle that's to big to fit in your damaged drive through and bring it out to us or met us at the door
Not a good experience at all. I waited at the drive up lane for almost 15 min before I went through the drive thru for someone to tell me that they were closing early. They could have told me that at the talkbox. They just cut the lights out and didn't say anything. Poor communication
The food was good but the cashiers had an attitude saying drive thru only when she could have said nicely that walk up orders are at the patio next to the benches
The employees were polite as they gave some of the worst customer service ever. Came at about 7pm...close to dinner time, right? Try to order from one of the bays, and told "drive-thru only." Okay. Go to the drive thru... sit for several minutes, nothing. Pull up to the drive thru window, have to knock on it to get the employees' attention, as they were deep in conversation. Cool. Order my food. Start to order ice cream "we are cleaning it right now, so no ice cream is available." Sigh. Okay. 3 combos ordered, plus 2 sides- all the food smooshed into one bag. Just the highlights. They're definitely not trying to stay in business. Lol, smh. EDIT TO ADD: This a corporate location, not a franchise. Also, after we ordered Blizzards from the DQ down the street, we got home to find out they messed up all 3 of the burgers, the onion rings were raw, and there was no chilli on the chilli cheese fries. The Blizzards were good, though.
