We waited an hour and a half for our food after ordering for dinner. When it arrived, the fish was overcooked, the greens were too salty to eat, and the succotash was full of pieces of corn cob. The mac and cheese and meatloaf were good. No one acknowledged how long it had taken to get our food until we were almost done eating, when the manager came over to let us know our apps would be comped. We had to flag down servers just to order a second round of drinks during the long wait for our food. It felt like they were scared to acknowledge how long it was taking. I’m from the south, and if you’re going to charge fine dining prices for southern food, it needs to be a lot better than what we experienced. The lights were also very bright in the dining room, not something I would normally notice, but we were there for so long that it got annoying. Definitely would not return or advise anyone I know to eat here.
Stopped in for a family dinner. From drinks at the bar to dessert everything was tops. Restaurant is in a beautiful old home that gives a very southern charmed atmosphere. Staff were pleasant and engaging. Food was excellent. We had Fried Chicken (which they are noted for), Shrimp Etouffee, Fried Catfish and the Ribeye. Dessert was, lemon icebox cake, chocolate cake and banana pudding. None of it disappointed, everyone was very happy with their orders. Can't wait to go back.
Arrived at 832pm on a Friday with a party of 5 and waited 6 minutes before being told they don’t serve parties after 830pm — mind your they had open reservations online all available after 8pm including 830PM so we didn’t feel the need to reserve.Apparently this place thinks differently and has their hours incorrectly listed. They close at 830 for walk-ins.If you do get to sit down, the food is amazing. @KevinGillespie -please rectify this service issue.
So initially I was going to PittyPatsPorch on my list of restaurants with fried chicken.PPP is closed in 2020.A restaurant I never visited.I saw this place online and saw mixed reviews. Revival is close in distance so I went to check it out. Mac and cheese is not included with the entree of the fried chicken. It should be for the price of the entree there is a $2.00 charge for it. There is no other charge on the other sides. It’s $27.20 for the meal with out mac and cheese with any other 2 sides of your choice. Cornbread is included with butter. For the price point I expected a larger portion on the meal.
Elegant relaxed atmosphere. Tastefully decorated with local paintings. My husband enjoyed the she crab soup as an appetizer. We also split an order of the appetizer sized crabcakes, they were very good. I had the seared tuna which was delicious. For dessert we split a Raspberry lemon cake which was good. The only negative thing I can say is the portions are small.
Party of 6 with reservation, not sure what the hold up was but we waited 1 1/2 hours for food. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Steak was cooked perfectly but unfortunately was way too salty. Not sure if it was the rub on it or what but it really ruined the dish. The Creamed Kale was delicious, the Mac & Cheese was just okay. A little bit too pricey all things considered, but may have just been an off night. Would give another try.
My husband and I went here for the
Great food and amazing service!
Good food invective drinks and great service!
The food was just okay. Overrated in my opinion. I had the fried chicken. The shape of the mac and cheese noodle was weird too. Please go back to the elbow noodle. It holds the cheese sauce better. Thefried chicken is 100x better at Publix. Great service though. I will not be returning to the restaurant
