Overall: great food, good vibes, superb staff. Upstairs area is not part of Mellow Mushroom restaurant. 96/100 on current (June 2022) health rating. Hostess and waiter were perfectly attentive, respectful, and responsive. Ordered a small Kosmic Karma for myself and was comfortably satisfied with 1/2 (2 slices). Music playing was rock-punk-alternative, slightly loud. Seats were filled 2/3 on Thursday evening. Would recommend for downtown Decatur Pizza spot.
Best pizza I've had in a long time! This is my new go-to pizza spot for sure.The specialty pizzas are creative but also well executed. Most pizza places do not use enough toppings for the price but that's not the case here. The value is excellent compared to the other local pizza spots I've tried.I'm looking forward to getting back there for some more!
My family and I dined-in here this past Tuesday.The server we had was very nice. The restaurant looks clean. The food was hot fresh, and very tasty ?. The only thing I wouldn’t order again is the lemonade, it tasted wired, no sweetness at all. But I wouldn’t trust that water or lemonade. The bathrooms were okay, hand soap pump wasn’t working in the Women’s bathroom. I had to switch to the Family bathroom in order to wash my hands. I know Mellow Mushrooms ? has been around for a while now. But I think it’s time to add a choice salad menu, bigger wing menu and last a dessert menu. Update for 2000’s.

Three of us got there right after 5 pm. Waited over ten minutes before anyone came over to our table to acknowledge us. After waiting a few minutes I used my free time to count all six other patrons in the restaurant. It didnt look packed outside either. We ordered our drinks and food together since we already knew we were in for a rough one. Didn't disappoint. Food came about 45 minutes later. Again, while not busy. Then we couldn't find the waiter to get the check. Maybe it was just a bad night for the waiter and/or kitchen, but none of us enjoyed the experience. Food was good, just not worth it for us
I have been to this location many times when I visit my family in Decatur. We were disgusted with the lack of cleanliness in the facility the bathrooms that had no toilet paper and water all over the floor. Not to mention we put our name in and we were skipped over and instead of realizing they made a mistake they got volatile with us. The manager doesn’t know how to manage he just stands there acting “tough”! He thinks it’s a scare tactic instead of using his communication skills and realizing they made a mistake and they accidentally skipped over an entire family. Pathetic ! Go to Athens pizza and skip this place over !
I know it's a chain, but this location stands out above the rest. I've had nothing but wonderful experiences. I've ordered dozens of times, and twice something was slightly wrong. Both times, the staff and restaurant went above and beyond making it right. I couldn't recommend their food and their service highly enough! So yummy, and great vibe.
Was hoping to try their pizza and fall in love because they’re so highly recommended but I never got the chance. I called to order and was left on hold for 10 minutes. When I called back a couple times they wouldn’t answer. Ordered from another pizza place instead
The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and accommodating, especially a waitress named Molly. Molly was very patient while we deliberated over the menu. She even kept our children engaged in conversation. We will definitely return!
This is great food—when you can get it. Call and get put on hold for five minutes and then get hung up on. Go to the website and it says that online ordering is not available between 5:30 and 8:30pm. Order through a third party app and get a message saying your order can’t be placed because of high volume.For years, this franchise has not been able to keep up with the volume of customers it gets.When it goes right, it’s great—unique, rich, flavorful pizzas with fresh ingredients. More often than not, though, it goes wrong.
