On. A Whim my husband and I along with my best friends decided to go here after church on a Sunday. From the Quick Seating, Friendly Server, Excellent Food and The Delectable Desserts we Brought home……….5 star all the way!! The Cajun Popcorn is “Popping “, should have ordered 2, The Crab Cakes are served on a Fried Green Tomato ( overall creative, a good taste when eaten together, but the crab cake was a little too dry for me) but it still rates at a 4 out of 5. The Fried Shrimp and Catfish……….The Bomb! The Pecan Praline Cheesecake…..The Truth!!! The Powder Sugared Beignets…..(Funnel Cakes without the grease) Perfect! Excellent can’t wait to go back! Warning….. it is in the pricey side, so only go when you want splurge so you can enjoy a little of everything. It was definitely worth it.
First time trying this place yesterday and the food was excellent! I ordered the Shrimp, Andouille, & Grits which I DEFINITELY recommend. My husband ordered the Shrimp Etouffee which was also very good. The Beignets were a plus you can’t beat the price for that size. This was the first time I’ve seen them so huge. My husband didn’t care for the sweet tea. My water taste like faucet water. Took a little while for the server to come to the table but I can understand. She was still a good server. What I do love is other servers checked on us as well and helped when needed. Other than that, I definitely recommend this place!
Easily one of my new favorite spots. Recently moved to the area and this is my third time coming. Haven’t been disappointed any of the times I’ve been here.The oysters are my favorite and the fried okra is delicious. The cat fish was fried perfectly and the grilled shrimp was delicious!The drinks and service are always good too. I’d definitely recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner if you’re in the area.
First time visiting from out of town. All dishes were really good. Seasoned very well. We also got the beignets and chocolate cake. They were good as well. The only opportunity for improvement was the faulty hvac issues with the air. The restaurant was uncomfortably hot.
Was a Great time!! Fantastic food, clean, COVID-19 protocols in place, lacked in service, but was very busy. Would have had 5 stars if the service was on point, WILL be back!!!
I’m truly AMAZED at the tastefulness! This was our 1st time here and if I could give 10 stars I would! From our server Jay, to the delicious drinks, and the food I will be back! The food has so much texture of flavor I feel in love with the 1st bite! Thank you Jay for a phenomenal customer service and thank you Louisiana Bistreaux for your amazing food! Truly gave me a taste of Louisiana for sure! The chef has a gifted touch.
Shaunie at the bar was SIMPLY amazing. The food was GREAT. Hands down. If your in Decatur and haven’t visit this place uR trip is not complete. My girl shaunie will take care of u!!!!! Thank you for the amazing food and drinks it was a pleasure spending my funds here
I placed an Uber Eats order for $116.00. Upon receiving my order I realized an entire Entree was missing. I spoke with Hillary ( Restaurant Mgr ) who stated she could not find my whole order even though I had a receipt, order number and check number. I find this highly suspicious and totally ridiculous. Uber Eats confirmed the entire order was placed and billed. I advice all individuals patronizing this establishment to pay very close attention to your food orders and receipts. Unhappy customer ??????
His 2nd my first time eating here along with some of his family and friends and everything was Great! It wasn't crowded our waiter was nice, friendly & attentive. The food was fresh, hot & GOOOOD. We had Gator bites w/corn maque choux, crab cakes & bowl gumbo, shrimp, andouille & grits, fried shrimp & coleslaw
This was one of the best experiences I have ever had in life. The service was great when we walked through the door. The waiter was excellent and the food was cooked perfectly. The entire experience was great. I will definitely be going back and would advise everyone else to try it.
