The service here is mediocre. Our server was polite, but there seems to be a lack of training. We were not given water or any beverages upon being seated, and had to specifically request after receiving our food. With all due respect, the presentation of the food is nice, but the taste was terrible. The noodle themselves were bland, and the soup lacked koku and umami, and had no type of savoriness. You can honestly purchase better ramen to cook at home. The price is definitely way too high for the quality of food here, and I am a little dissatisfied.Thank you for your time.
First time here with and hour and a half before closing. My partner and I were welcomed warmly by the staff. everything I tried was very delicious from the perfectly made Thai milk tea to the gyoza down to my rice bowl. They even have build your own Ramen which my partner enjoyed immensely. I had a few sips of the broth and was blown away by the complexity of the flavors. We were lucky enough to chat with the chef and the owner at the end of our meal. The owner informed us that the ramen broth is cooked for 12 hours! I definitely plan on trying the ramen next time and becoming a regular here.
The tonkatsu ramen was good, though there was slight room for added flavor. Service was perfect. The taro milk tea was the best I've had!
I used to love this place and I would recommend it to my friends a lot. After the previous chef left early 2022, the food just isn't the same. The soup is still good and I didn't mind the price increase but the noodles are just worse. They've switched the default noodle to a soggy version that does not absorb the soup and negatively affects the taste. And there is no longer any sushi dishes offered. I hope they go back to the previous noodles soon.
I’ve had ramen all over the country and Hiro is hands down one of my top 3 ramen spots! The waitress and staff were all friendly, the Spicy Tonkatsu ramen broth was some of the best I’ve ever had, the gyoza couldn’t have been better and the Thai Milk Tea was served perfectly.
I think most, if not all, of the components of the ramen are products made off site and just assembled. The takoyaki is a frozen product so I would avoid it. Wings were pretty good.
I love this place beyond reason. My wife and I found this place a few months ago, and have been three times. We’ve gotten numerous items here and they are all delicious. The ramen is the best in Atlanta, in my opinion. The staff is also extremely friendly, and will help you find the best dishes for your taste. If you love ramen you have to try this place!Parking is always a bit hectic in this lot, but it’s worth it.
What a pleasant surprise! Service was friendly and excellent. We had Tonkotsu ramen, karaage, and the pork cutlet curry rice bowl....all very good! Adding the karaage to the ramen was a great suggestion.
This place has gone WAY downhill after new management, which is really disappointing - they used to be so good!My husband and I came here for dinner on a Wednesday night (12/1). It was empty except for some staff and a customer waiting for their takeout. Compare this to a Wednesday night in September (9/22), when every table was full. The emptiness was the first red flag, but we pressed on - big mistake. We were seated in the back of the restaurant behind a wall or screen, so we couldn't be seen from the front. Then, the staff proceeded to talk very loudly, as though we weren't there. At one point, they declared derisively that customers weren't coming back because prices went up.Okay, so the service is weird. Maybe the food can make up for it? NOPE! Not only was it pricy ($12-16/bowl), it was bland, lukewarm, and poorly plated. Also, the bubble tea section was closed, if that was your jam (during my visit, several customers expressed disappointed at this).Shocking how much things changed in just two months. I won't be coming back.
Better than expected! Good chewy Ramen, fresh vegetables and I really recommend this Japanese style fried chicken with sweet juicy finely sliced cabbage - the best cabbage I've ever tried in ATL.
