the worst food i've had in atlanta. tasteless. no seasoning. my family ordered several different items, the only item that had a good flavor was the collard greens. we sat on covered patio for dinner and it was nice.
Stopped in for a family dinner. From drinks at the bar to dessert everything was tops. Restaurant is in a beautiful old home that gives a very southern charmed atmosphere. Staff were pleasant and engaging. Food was excellent. We had Fried Chicken (which they are noted for), Shrimp Etouffee, Fried Catfish and the Ribeye. Dessert was, lemon icebox cake, chocolate cake and banana pudding. None of it disappointed, everyone was very happy with their orders. Can't wait to go back.
So initially I was going to PittyPatsPorch on my list of restaurants with fried chicken.PPP is closed in 2020.A restaurant I never visited.I saw this place online and saw mixed reviews. Revival is close in distance so I went to check it out. Mac and cheese is not included with the entree of the fried chicken. It should be for the price of the entree there is a $2.00 charge for it. There is no other charge on the other sides. It’s $27.20 for the meal with out mac and cheese with any other 2 sides of your choice. Cornbread is included with butter. For the price point I expected a larger portion on the meal.
Elegant relaxed atmosphere. Tastefully decorated with local paintings. My husband enjoyed the she crab soup as an appetizer. We also split an order of the appetizer sized crabcakes, they were very good. I had the seared tuna which was delicious. For dessert we split a Raspberry lemon cake which was good. The only negative thing I can say is the portions are small.
We were visiting family in the ATL area and wanted an upscale dining experience. We really hit the mark with Revival. The decor is very whimsical but tasteful BUT not as tasteful as the food. Our large group had various appetizers and entrees so we had a good sampling of the food and the specialty drinks. Dessert was as awesome. We all left with a smile on our faces, as the night was just superb.
This was our 1st visit to Revival. The service was good and the environment certainly is quite comfortable. The flat iron steak was quite tasty as were the the potatoes. The collard greens unfortunately were a bit tough. The fried chicken was very good but not the crispy type which I prefer. The brussel sprouts were quite tasty and unusual in their preparation. Bread pudding was wonderful and very sweet. We will return.
My husband and I visited with another couple and had a lovely meal. The service was slow to start, the place was packed and the waiter was running all over the place. That said, the food was delicious from the appetizers to the desserts. Hubby loved the trout, I really enjoyed the meat loaf. We will visit again just for the most amazing brussel sprouts!
This restaurant is perfect for couples and families. It has a huge local draw thanks to simple, southern favorites. These are comfort foods, like meatloaf and fried chicken, but there are also many other dishes and specials that make this such a great option. It is not very expensive for what it is and really makes for a fun dining experience. The beer and wine selection is good, and there are some craft cocktails as well. It is a restaurant that is easy to bring children to, but it is not particularly a family restaurant. It is near the center of Decatur, and there is a valet, so parking is not an issue. This place does not disappoint.
Nice atmosphere and great service. The mac and cheese was good the fingerling potatoes are delicious. The flat iron steak was very well season.
Everything on the menu sounded wonderful. Signature cocktails were terrific. Veggies served family style
