Visited today after months of having it on my “to do” list. We were met unenthusiastically by the cashier who answered, “I don’t know, I never tried it” to every item we asked about. Ummm….ok, that’s helpful.The chicken was delicious. The sides could have been better seasoned. I probably won’t be returning.Update:
A new big fan. Did not disappoint! So nice, I honestly went twice. The homemade macaroni&cheese mm mm oh my!! Again my compliments to the Chicago chef & the entire friendly staff. Congrats & God bless the new baby. (smile) I highly recommend their ribs/sauce on Tuesdays! QUEEN
One of the best barbecue restaurants I've ever been in. All of their meats are smoked so well, and they offer SO MANY varieties of barbecue it could make your head spin.And the desserts & sides are to die for!I could go on, like about their great tea, lemonade etc.But you have to come and experience it yourself. You'll love their very friendly staff as well.
This place has some real good BBQ. The ribs are always tender bursting with flavor. Chicken is great as well very good flavor and moist. Potato salad is great and their peach cobbler is to die for. Brisket is always juicy with a good smoke ring. Now I have to be fair, sometimes they will serve you very stringy and fatty brisket that is just a blob of gelatinous fat with no meat. Overall a great place and customer service is always fantastic in my experience.
City Barbeque was good before the recent menu changes but now it's damn good. The pulled chicken recipe is nothing short of amazing. Just bursting with flavor. The smoked turkey is moist and tender. The beef brisket is on point. They have all the traditional BBQ sides and offer desserts as well. Great menu with great tasting food. If you want good BBQ, they have you covered.
Today was my first time visiting and I fell in love I couldn’t leave the parking lot without tasting the ribs I’ve heard so much about and omg it was tender fall off the bone and juicy all in the same bite I loved it and the Mac and cheese is to die for I’m lactose and got it for a friend just wanted to taste it and ate more than I bargained for lol but it was so creamy and cheesy omg 5 stars well deserved!!!
This place isnt Fox bros but my dad likes it so we tried it again. Sloppy presentation, buns falling apart and old. Love the green beans and cornbread. Mac and cheese has zero flavor. The charge for EVERYTHING separately and its more costly. Check your order before you leave..... they always leave something out.
I love the collard greens and hush puppies. The BBQ pork could use a lot more flavor and was cut or pulled into big chunks rather than smaller easy to eat bites. Plus they forgot to deliver my tea.
stopped by on a recent visit to atlanta. everything we had was delicious. The swine saw is VERY spicy, which we LOVED. very nice staff.
I had wonderful tasty first time experience with dine in service. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised with the flavor and tenderness of our rib order. We both are from the Chicago area and agreed… we no longer need to go back home to experience great smoky bones… we will continue going to CITY BBQ! Also, MANAGER and staff was amazingly friendly and attentive to our needs. ?Love you City BBQ!
