First visit today in mid afternoon, as it had been highly recommended. I ordered chips and queso and 12 wings, half cajun dry rub and the other tropical hot. The restaurant was semi busy upon arrival, so I expected a wait which is of no issue if you want what was recommended. The wait was not long and I was actually taken aback at the cajun dry rub wings. The mezmering smell of the spices on the wings was intoxicating and absolutely delicious. I have eaten wings and dined at high end restaurants around this country, but I can unequivocally say these are the best wings I have ever eaten. The chips and queso were good and the sweet tea was awesome. Our server was pleasant and attentive. You can not go wrong here, and I will be back often.
High quality ingredients, great flavors, and superb staff. This is my favorite casual dining spot in town. You've got to try the Baja battered avocado! My go-to meals here are the fish tacos and the chicken quinoa bowl. It's such a unique, fun place to visit. Any time I have family or friends visiting from out of town, I make sure to introduce them to Baja Coop.
I am going to give you the review in reverse. The wings are fukin DELICIOUS. I requested the original to give you a good review. Any tasty sauce can make mediocre wings taste decent. These are above decent. I have yet to taste better wings in GA and TN as good as these.The fried avocado… are a MUST try.I bought the three types of fish tacos to see which one I prefer. It’s what fish tacos are supposed to taste like. What does that even mean? It means you can taste the fish and the other ingredients in a perfect balance. And get this…they come with CORN tortillas.The dessert…pretty good. Same great balance of flavors throughout.This definitely does not have a “commercial” flavor. It’s the authentic “local” flavors I seek when traveling abroad.The usual I touch on. The environment was easy. A little “young” - high school to sophomore college feel. But remember, it’s my first visit. No mask requirement for staff or customers. Pleasant tone taking my order over the phone. I didn’t have to wait when I arrived to pick up the food. And the customer service was transactional.

My wife and I believe in supporting local business! We decided to visit Baja Coop and was super disappointed.. We have been to this restaurant several times and every time it takes a while. We are very patient people and normally not in a rush. On this visit, which will be our last visit, We ordered light so we could have dessert. Not only did it take them over 30 minutes to deliver us 4 tacos, then we waited an additional 40 minutes on dessert that never came. I overheard our waitress ask the lady that just stands in the window, about our desert. I overheard the Lady tell her the kitchen is trying to get the food out now. In a nutshell, she was not worried about our time or our dessert. When I walked to the counter our server asked the lady, who stands in the window, Will you please take this off so they can leave? She continued to stand there with her back to us until I said something, then she finally turned around and began making excuses that the kitchen staff was shorthanded. We’ve been there numerous times and they have the same amount of staff every time we have went. If you value your time and love to get what you want, not what the lady in the window thinks you should have, don’t visit Baja Coop. I hope they do well but they will have to treat others better than they treated us.
One of my favorite places to eat downtown...or in all of Dalton for that matter. Fantastic fish tacos, the Baja flounder are my fav. I love the wings - the hot tropic sauce is stellar. Great atmosphere, love eating outside. Try one of the bowls and salads, too...something for every mood.
Came as a party of 12 and had a great experience. I ordered three grilled flounder tacos and thoroughly enjoyed them. Fried avocados with their habenero ranch is a must try. Food came out on time and the service was excellent. Also a great location in downtown Dalton with a quaint small time feel. Highly recommend and ask four Luis.
