The host is over complicated. Made my self and wife wait while holding our daughter for 5-10 minutes supposedly, as soon as I gave him my name he says "okay come on let's get seated"The lobby, the filthiest I have ever seen a restaurants dinning area. Literal trash all over the floor. This is not an exaggeration. The first thought in my head was if it is this nasty put here it has to be disgusting in the kitchen. Bless our waitresses heart she needs to find a new play of employment. This Applebee's has fallen is a disgraceful way. Pitiful and awful is how I would describe this location. Photos will be posted of this disaster of a place to eat.
Had an amazing time at Applebee's Dalton Ga , Barrett , was my waitress and she did a great job ! Enjoyed my dinner and my waitress! Everybody go see and tip Ms. Barrett !
We have always had good service until today! Got seated waited 30 minutes to get waited on when there was not many people in there Because they couldn’t find our server! Waited almost an hour for our food.
We got told it was a half hour wait, when there was only two tables being used in the whole place and no oneIn line but us
Service was good. Restaurant wasn't busy. Our server was friendly. The restaurant was clean. The Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp was cooked well however over seasoned and the onions and mushrooms were sitting in a little pool of oil. I did clean my plate (as sid my wife) minus the onions and some of the scraped off seasoning.
At one point in time was one of the best places in town. Haven't been in awhile with covid and having a newborn. Stopped by and waited for ten mins for someone to greet us while multiple employees stood around. Has really raken a turn for the worse...only got two stars for sentimental purposes
From the host to management was bad. We went in there was maybe 8 people. When we asked for a table for 7 he laughed and said it would be 20 to 30 minutes. We asked why because all tables were empty the little boy laughed again and said because I said. The manager came out and had the same attitude. He said their were people ahead of us. We asked where he said in his tablet. Literally was nobody else waiting. I know times are hard and help is hard to come by but with that kind of help you would be better off to close the door. You are probably only making enough to pay the light bill.
Service was horrible. The server acted like it was a burden for him to take care of 4 adults and 1 child, during the entire visit he looked not interested in taking care of us. Drinks were way late, bar drink way later. Long after drinks only 1 appetizer arrived, the 2nd one came 10 minutes later and was wrong and overcooked. An hour later the food finally arrived. During this visit the hostesses were the ones to refill drinks. Also, when I returned the incorrect and overcooked combo app to the manager, Kayla, she argued with me that the hockey puck top cheese layer on the Spinach dip was "spec" to them. The chips broke trying to dip in there. Later she agreed the app was ordered incorrectly by the uninterested server. This Applebee's is sad af. Definitely not what it was when I worked there in the early 2000's.
We choose the eat at the bar, bartender was amazing. Took order, served us drinks, and socialized with us when no other customers needed her assistance.Thank you for a start of a 14 day vacation, more pleasant.
