While the service was good, the food was awful! I ordered the Black and Blue salad medium and it came out well done. I exchanged it for the Chicken Pesto sandwich with the mayo on the side, and it came out undercooked with the pesto mayo on it. It was also at least 80 degrees in there! It is overpriced for the quality of food. I had previously not had the best experience, but was willing to give them another try. I will not be back.
I love Pies on Post!! This is probably the first restaurant review I’ve ever written. I am gluten free and they had the best firecracker shrimp! I don’t know the last time I got to enjoy fried shrimp! It was delicious. The pizza was great too! Our server was so sweet and the owner came and spoke with us and was so friendly! Highly recommend!!
I have worked and went to college for restaurant management. Let’s just say I have never experienced the service I did today. Waitress quote was,” how was everything or did I abandoned you for to long?” She sat down and talked to a table. New bartender never asked if we wanted another drink? How is everything since the other bartender wasn’t coming back. Our appetizer sat in the window so long my husband was going to go get it but we weren’t sure if it was ours. It was and was cold. If those were my employees they would be given a verbal warning at least. The cooks were working their tails off. We usually give a 50-100 % tip. But not today. Carry out.
I truly wanted to like this place, as it was a recommendation from someone who apparently knows the owner. I rarely write reviews, however after driving over 20 minutes from Johns Creek, I felt as if one was warranted. I must admit we received a less than optimum experience.I will be honest and state the pizza is not terrible( or is not the best around), as the dough appeared to not be fully cooked. I'm not sure if it was because we ordered so close to closing or what. However the bigger issue, is the customer service, which definitely takes at least 2 stars away. Speaking from someone who owns a business, customer service is extremely important when it comes to the service industry. The snippy attitude of the teenagers who "run" the business, after an understanding customer calls with a big mistake made on their part, is less than optimum. As well as will unfortunately cause this business to loose a significant amount of business. I truly hope the teenagers, get better attitudes as well as learn from their mistake.
Delicious pizza that featured fresh everything. As good as the pizza was the service even better. We had a pickup order and I had three staff members almost fighting (in a good way) to help me get my order and get back home. Staff’s demeanor was as friendly and pleasant as I have seen..Only going four stars because the salad was just average in ingredients and quantity for the $$. Will definitely be back! .
Awful, they lost the chef that opened the place and the pizza is horrible. The place is a wreck. The place just opened and it looks like hell. Tables in disrepair, boxes stacked on customer eating counters. No fire in the oven. Tomato on pie were so cooked there were dry and tasteless, the cheese was cold and poorly used on the pie. Dough was uncooked, due to poor heat distribution in the oven. The flames were nowhere to be seen. I have seen other woodfire pizza places , the ovens were ablaze. So sad this place lost it so quickly. Dirty Menus? common !
Ate here last night and will definitely be back! Very cool spot with a fun vibe! Great food - pizza was amazing, great meatballs, salads, etc., live music and cocktails! Had great service- excited to try everything else on the menu!
Pretty ambiance .. wood fire pizza oven is cool - had calamari (a little rubbery) but added artichokes was a yummy surprise.Probably will give it another try later on
Passed by and tried it on a whim. A wood-fire oven makes the best pizza. Tried calamari, Three Little Pigs sandwich, and a pepperoni pizza. It did not disappoint. Service was quick and friendly. Will be back.
At this point I've gotten pizza from Pies on Post a few times. First time, I wasn't a huge fan, but since they were new, decided to try them again. The pizza has gotten better & better. Last night got a 16" with roasted red peppers, pancetta, pepperoni, & extra cheese. They NAILED it! Best pizza outside of Capri, Italy I've had in decades. So glad to have a go to pizza place again.
