Edit:TLDR: Rude waitress confrontation in front of friends over tipping. Very embarrassing.Confronted by rude waitress today. For reference there are two waitresses typically. One is older with long hair (who is always fantastic and looks after us, knows our regular order etc) and one has short spiky hair. This waitress with the short spiky hair has been out hostess the last 5+ times we have been in. She's snappy and rude often, and today was the icing on the cake. While bringing some friends on a double date, we had good food but poor service. My bill came to $45.94 and I paid with a $50 bill, so left the change as a tip. A reasonable 10% considering service wasn't great. The waitress saw the remaining $5 and change as the tip, and in front of my friends, confronts me, leaning over my wife on the outside of the table to tell me she knows I don't like her service and that I tip too little every time we eat there, as well as other rude remarks. I was MORTIFIED by the confrontation and it was extremely embarrassing in front of company. I actually took the $5 back on the way out after this. My friends agreed it was extremely rude as we left too. I will not be returning.Old review:Go to order of: Tiger roll, yummy-yummy roll and a 3pc salmon sashimi to share between 2. Great value
I would not say that this is the worst food in the world, but it did not do the best job of providing Thai fare.
The most disgusting Thai food I’ve ever eaten. I love Thai food so my family and I were hugely disappointed as everything in our order was inedible. The tofu tasted like rubber, the panang curry was gross, the soup had a strange flavor and the pad Thai was bland noodles with no peanuts, spices or flavors to be found. We threw the food away and will not be returning. Zero stars would be too many.
The absolute Chinese, Thailand, and Japanese take out hands down!! If you are a curry lover like me, definitely try the curry spring rolls...you won't be disappointed! Thanks guys, you make great food!!
Disappointed the last few times. Used to love it, but the panang curry has been completely flavorless the last few times - like water chicken. Wish I could recommend, but I just can't anymore. Sad about it!
I've been several times and the food and service are always excellent! I consistently look forward to coming back :)
The food on my plate was good and considering the other plates were empty I think those dishes were too. It is not just the food that makes a place though and the waitress was really good, the place itself was clean
This was our first trip to the restaurant. The waitress was very personable and friendly. The food absolutely delicious
I ate here two weeks ago with my family, and it was fine. I’m vegan and had to ask a lot of questions to figure out what to order. The waitress told me none of the Thai dishes are vegan as they use either fish or chicken broth in every one of them. She worked with me and told me I could order the sesame tofu lunch special and get the miso soup and steamed rice as a substitute since the other soups and the fried rice contain animal products. I had a good meal. Today I returned with my family to order the exact same thing, but this time I was told by the same waitress that I was not allowed to have any substitutions whatsoever because her manager got mad at her last time since she made an exception for me. It’s unprofessional that she not only admitted that to me without any kind of apology, but also that she offered no other solution. I explained again that I’m vegan and eat no animal products so I need accommodations, but she was not willing to serve me. I even asked if I could just have two spring rolls instead of the soup. She said no. I asked if they could add some vegetables to the tofu in place of the soup. She said no. She kept telling me I could just give the soup to my mom, but she was missing the point. I told her it isn’t fair that I would pay the same amount as everyone else but not be able to enjoy the full meal. And besides that, she wouldn’t let me substitute the rice anyway. I told her she set the expectation last time I was there and the restaurant was willing to be accommodating just two weeks before, and that’s the only reason my family and I returned today. I told her it’s 2022 and there are plenty of people with different dietary restrictions. I don’t know why they would even list a tofu dish on the menu only to make it impossible for anyone vegan to make substitutions so they can order that dish. I feel bad that my family was looking forward to their meals and then they had to leave since the restaurant refused to accommodate me. I find it ridiculous that Pacific Spice would rather send an entire family out the door and lose all their business than just make two changes for me and serve plain white rice and a bowl of seasoned water with three tiny tofu cubes in it. I wasn’t asking for any kind of premium substitution. It makes no sense. I was shown today that this restaurant values their own convenience more than they value the business of people like me. I think this restaurant is incredibly unfair and selfish. They do not care to serve anyone with different dietary needs, and they should be ashamed and embarrassed at the lack of empathy they showed me today.
Third time trying to eat here, owner always says no help slow service. Maybe offer customer to order take out instead of trying to run them off? Hey it’s your business but I would define try another approach lol
