The food was decent the waitress followed us out to car for a cash tip, after we had already tipped the chef. Terrible rude behavior will never go back.
Totally disappointed. I ordered takeout from this restaurant a few months ago and the food was terrible. I understand people have off days, so I have them the benefit of the doubt and tried again earlier this week. Mistake. My experience was just as bad the second time around. The staff was incredibly short, seemingly bothered, and unhelpful while ordering. I ordered the shrimp “fried rice” which was hardly fried/had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. I also ordered a double order of rice (and confirmed it several times), yet received LESS than a normal portion. My brother and dad both ordered food as well and were equally unsatisfied. Hibachi usually serves more than you can eat in one sitting, yet all 3 of us were still hungry and needed something else upon finishing our meal. The 3 of us all ordered some variation of fried rice (for carry out, so we did not have the true hibachi experience) and spent almost $90 (before tip). I’ve actually never left a negative review before, but I felt this was necessary in hopes of preventing others from making the same mistake we did. Save your money and go somewhere else.
This is the best sushi we have had since moving here last year. The squid salad is absolutely fantastic and the quality of the fish is great. Friendly staff, fast and attentive. Definitely our new go-to spot
Prices gone up and the amount of food decreased. Food lack tasted and the hibachi did not entertain. One server for 5 tables. She did a grate job tho. This place it's not what it used to be.
Absolutely terrible. Over priced! Prices don’t match menu online. My vegetables were floating in water. Zero flavor. Yum yum sauce seems watered down. Chicken was over cooked. Ginger dressing on old salad was watery. Just terrible.
Where do I start!? Food was eh… we didn’t get our entire order and our waitress “Nicole” had an attitude the moment we sat down and the entire evening. We ordered noodles for our kids as appetizer so they could eat first… didn’t get them until the end of the meal and they were just sitting out for 10mins. Our toddlers did not eat. Appetizers were luke warm. Sushi we ordered as appetizers came at the end of the meal as well. One of Sushi’s was not correct. We asked for a straw and she came back and put a raw straw directly in my friends drink ? with her hands. There was a lot of issues that could of been resolved with a better attitude. The worst part of it all was that management (owners?) were just standing around while this woman is clearly struggling to waitress and get out orders. They were severely understaffed I get it covid but… this was real bad.
Went tonight to celebrate our 10years old birthday! First was left unattended for 10mins, finally cameto take drink order but we had full order ready in the middle of order walked off to bring drinks. Came back with drinks & took order. Found sharp plastic in our miso soup told the server. He walked off. Brought our food etc. when he brought our bill I asked why was he charging for the miso soup and told us if we didn’t like the restaurant find another one. We’ve spent many years going here raising a large family & supporting this business during Covid times. But we will take the advise and find another place that would happy to serve us.
The food was good and Chef was entertaining, everything pointed to a great experience until I got the bill.Gratuity was added without my consent even know there is nothing that says they will add it the bill for a party of 7, they also included the tax in the gratuity. I don't tip on tax.I was willing to overlook them adding the tip even if it included the tax, but the straw that broke the camel's back was when they added the 3.99% Credit fee on top.Digging for every Penney turned a fun night out with the family into a night of regret. That $8.88 made me regret picking Osaka ‘s to eat. It's not about the $$ it's about the fees and expectations. If you do decide to go to Osaka’s bring cash!!
First the owners are crooks! Nowhere in their establishment (unless they finally did something after my visit) is there a posting letting you know there would be a charge if you used your DEBIT/CREDIT card. I did use my debit card. So, I was charged $2.64 and my cousin was charged $3.99. I didn't realize this was going to happen nor did my cousin. Nowhere on the itemized statement did they acknowledge the potential charge if you used your cards. So, I was unaware this happened until I started thinking about the amount on my receipt. I unfortunately had left by then. I called because I wanted to know why I was charged for more then what I should have been. The manager Nick at first had no idea what the discrepancy would have been until it dawned on him. He was really nice and did apologize and stated that yes, they really should have a posting somewhere. I guess this is something new. He then stated it was on the receipt but was a small acknowledgement about a charge and that was the only place they placed it. I said well the waitress should have stated to us that there would be a charge because I would have paid in cash. But, I was never given that opportunity. This acknowledgment Nick spoke about was on one of the three receipts I was given. However, I didn't see that nor did my cousin. I looked over the itemize info of what we got and it sure wasn't stated there. So, honestly not sure where it was because they never returned that itemize receipt to us for me to really see again. I called back twice and spoke to Nick because that really ticked me off...it was the principle of the matter. I asked for a refund and he stated very nicely that he didn't see that happening. I asked to have the owner call me and again was told that wouldn't happen. So, beware of this scam at this restaurant. And honestly the food wasn't worth the original low price of $10 that they recently jacked up to $17. And I do know that the amount that they charged for my particular itemized bill was double what the bank or card company would charge them because I own my own business. Totally unacceptable thieves. I sure hope they don't try to use the card fees as a deductible on their taxes when they're actually getting the money from the customers for said fees.
Osaka offers a great hibachi experience. They really hit it out of the park. Extremely friendly and polite wait-staff and our chef was a great cook and funny. Can’t wait to return to Osaka for another special occasion.
