Not sure if I should call Jon Taffer of Bar Recuse or if it just needs new management. I have been to this restaurant several times and each time both the food and service has continued to decline. Wings were over cooked and dry. Carrots and celery tasted like soap. Servers spent more time at their own table in the front corner then they did the tables they served. Pizza was better then..... well not much.
I not sure what happened but the taste has changed in the food. Spaghetti Sauce is putrid tasting. Pizza is also not as great.I still love the atmosphere and the waitresses are great. My drinks were superb.
Had some of the best wings of my life. The flavor, the crispness, and juiciness. You can feel the care put into the food. Chefs kiss! Great service and atmosphere as well!
Pizza is great! I would have given a five star rating except every single Time I call no one answers. Almost impossible to place a to go order unless you walk in
Great pizza, delicious marinara sauce and garlic knots. Nice atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.
I am so grateful 5 boroughs is still a part of this community after the last 2 years of this pandemic! I know there was a stint where you guys were really hurting for staff. I know you had to shift your menu big time a few months back. But holy moly. Y’all are back in the most delicious way and I’m so so glad!!! We ordered carryout tonight and we were SO HAPPY to see your sandwiches, garlic knots, and kids spaghetti and meatballs back! We opted for pizza (if you’re from the “north”…this pizza will taste exactly like home for you…and i know you know what I mean!) over the sandwiches tonight, but snagged the kids the garlic knots (so much better than Johnnys or really anywhere…they’re huge!) and spaghetti and whew- it was fantastic. So thankful you guys are still here…incredibly thankful to see a few familiar staff faces tonight…and so…so thankful for your fabulous friday soul fulfilling food! ❤️ (Garlic knots were destroyed by the time of this post ?❤️)
Good pizza and great pepper appetizers. Service was good. Went on a Friday night so it was a little loud because it is Karrioke on Fridays. I will know for next time:)
Let me start off by saying this place has great food! We used to eat here on a WEEKLY basis. Best pizza in the areaWhen we first started going everything was great but recently it’s not worth going because of the bad service. The problem is even though they seem to have plenty of staff no one wants to help you. If you only care about good food you should definitely go but for us we drive all the way from north Forsyth county to eat there and it’s just not worth the drive if I don’t have a good experience. I hope they can get better staff soon.
Good New York themed pizza and salads. Service is good and usually you can walk right in to be seated. It has a nice “neighborhood” feel.
Flavor was not included in the pizzas and garlic rolls they made. Everything was cold(Might be Doordash fault) but even if it was hot, there should be flavor. Won't order fromthem again. Zero stars
