Terrible, grease is old needs to be changed server said we have no more oh well. Chimichanga, hardly any meat. Supposed to come with guacamole and I had to ask for it the. It was nasty! Very disgusting
The staff was nice ..the food looked good But I'll be honest for the price ..the food to me the taco meat was runny and watered down not much flavor and the salsa had no taste it seemed to be watered down .So it seemed cleaned and nice atmosphere but for me to much money for food that was tasteless..the rice was ves very good.

We had Dinner today it was excellent, since the new owner who used to work there is back, we’ve tried several different meals and we haven’t found one we didn’t like. On Sunday’s they have chili verde. So we will be back Sunday to try it. We’re from California and we love Mexican food and have tried several Mexican restaurants, but none compare to El Rio…We haven’t been disappointed at all since coming back to eat at El Rio. The owner is very nice and personable… come by and try it.
I am sorry to write a very negative review of this place. We at on a Saturday at lunch time and it was empty. The waiter tried to make our meal pleasant, but if the salsa that comes with chips is like ketchup, you are in trouble. We actually added their hot sauce and some tomatoes, and onion the waiter brought us to make our own salsa. I don't know how a gordita can be the same shell as a regular taco, but it was. We ordered Horchata and it was SO BAD we had to send it back. It tasted like sugar water. Nasty!
Bland rice and beans. Burrito swimming in tomato juice. Lunch Price was a bit higher for lunch than other places with a much better quality.
Great food, shame it took 38 minutes to get my order. The waiter didn’t speak English, and assumed my friend spoke Spanish because he’s a Person of Color. My other friend’s food was beef after she specifically said “Pollo” to the waiter multiple times. Queso is bad, guac never came. When I voiced my complaints to the gentleman ringing us up, he said “oh you wanna complain? Nah not me man.” And wouldn’t even hear out the complaint. The lack of management, and attention to customers was pathetic. Couldn’t recommend this place less.

This place is such a typical run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurant in a good way. The margaritas are always mixed with a balance of taste and strength. The food is delicious. My only complaint are the insects that fly around on the patio. It's annoying. And the language barrier calls for patience when ordering. My plate came out wrong twice on my last visit. I suggest going in for the weekday lunch specials. (11-3pm). Great prices on food and drink.
