Had a craving for sushi and drove from Madison to try Kobe. Wasn’t expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. Ordered three rolls: spider, shrimp tempura, and California (I’m pregnant or else would have loved to try more of a variety), each was REALLY good—and the prices are beyond reasonable. I will most definitely be back when I can try more of the menu. Glad I found this place!
Fantastic! They are really friendly, not stuffy, not fancy, just awesome and delicious! They will get any roll, customize almost anything they can if you ask. The prices are really reasonable and the selection is great. The eel sauce was by far the best I've ever tasted. Run over now and support this local gem, and feed your belly with great sushi and hibachi.
If you're looking for a beautiful place to take your date do not come here. This place focuses on one thing and one thing only high quality high craftsmanship in their food. The place is not much to look at I think they are doing some renovations to the dining area, but if you're after good food and excellent customer service. This is the place to go.
Food is always hot and freshly cooked. Great for a quick, inexpensive Japanese meal!
Good food, not insanely expensive. The sushi is also done well. The only thing I hate is the fact you can smell the chemicals from the nail salon through the wall sometimes.

My granddaughter told us to go here, since our favorite Tokyo Hibachi Express was too busy. Upon walking up to the restaurant you see tinted windows that are very dirty. The inside looked like it might be getting a remodel, but had lots of plastic up to shield the staff in the kitchen from getting COVID, and also a make-shift order/check out place with plexiglass. You order and get your drinks and utensils and condiments yourself then they bring out the food. It was good with plenty of food. Most people were getting take out. The prices were very good for the food that you get. But, there was no atmosphere, and no waiting...
We've gotten takeout from here a few times, and the food is always good. Here's an updated menu as of 09/18/21.
We love this place! The food is always really good and they have the best, original yum yum sauce- no citrus flavor! Woot!
