Just had this place for the first time, it's pretty good. The dressing was really good and I'm VERY picky about dressing lol. The only thing I have a small complaint about is the collard greens they were a tad bit salty but other than that everything was really good! Also thank you Freida for your wonderful hospitality, me and my mom felt really welcomed!
Man oh man! Where do I start? It was a Saturday when me and fiance tried their food . I got the fried chicken, roll, collards, dressing w chicken gravy and Mac and cheese. All of it was so good, no doubt! My fiance got the BBQ chicken with the same sides with the jalapeño corn bread that day and he recommended that I complete this review w 5 stars lol .Day 2 of trying this lovely restaurant I didn't order from here but fiance insisted . This time he got the baked chicken with green beans potato salad Mac and cheese and dressing. Mind you I helped him eat his sides lol I loved it and so did he. *whispers* they even give you cranberry sauce for your dressing, good GOD! The potato salad was with red skin potatoes and perfectly made ... none of their food is over seasoned which is good for people with high blood pressure or dietary restrictions.on the side on the first day my other half got their yellow cake w chocolate icing and blueberry lemon cake and both was so good. Day 2 I requested the red velvet cake and everything was just so good. We also got two large lemonades that has the perfect amount of sugar. I would definitely recommend to a friend.
Passing through Columbus on way back home to Marietta. Stopped to buy gas and noticed several people coming out of this restaurant. Decided to try for lunch. OMG it was delicious. The restaurant was clean. The staff was very friendly. And as I stated the food and veggies were great. I had the fried chicken and two veggie plate with cornbread. And the tea was so good. If we are in Columbus again we will most definitely eat there again.
Ordered from doordash and very disappointed. The Mac and cheese tasted like noodles, not cheesey, no flavor at all and tasted like the way wet dogs smell....don't ask me how??♀️??Definitely could've used more cheese and just some plain ole salt and pepper. Had to throw it away because I couldn't stomach the taste.The hamburger steak and mashed potatoes could've used salt as well, nothing had any flavor. I'll try from here one more time and give an updated review when I do....
The Chicken Lady’s Coop is always awesome! The food is always on point! Regularly order all the time for my parents. Senior meals, special order cakes, you name it. And here I am ordering for them from Canada, pay over the phone and they don’t miss a beat. The stuffed peppers and hamburger steak they had today they said was amazing. They said they have not had stuffed peppers in years and it reminded them of younger days and they could cook it themselves. I ordered a Hummingbird Whole Cake for them too and Melinda had it ready. If you come to Columbus and don’t visit this restaurant you are missing out.
Pictured is chicken dinner, green beans, Mac n cheese and a side of cornbread dressing and gravy. Out of almost everything else (went around 7pm) -- understandable to decrease food waste.Not at all friendly but the food was awesome, even cold and been sitting out (think of it like picnic food?!) At these prices it's a wonder they had anything left.Highly recommend if you need good home cooked food at a great price.Some casual dining in tables and chairs and a couple tables outside (metal, no cushions) on the side of th building.Is in the same building as the gas station.

Had lunch today. Fantastic meal!! Stuffed peppers were the best I ever had! Great veggies also. Reasonably priced. Locally owned. Go support your locals people!! If you ain’t from around here, it’s a gem. ! Floyd

I came to Georgia for work, the entire week I've had nothing but horrible food, but this place changed all that. My lord, effin DELICIOUS!! The fried chicken was to die for, the mash taters, amazing, the dressing/stuffing was great, and the gravy was out of this world. I highly recommend this place. I finally got a great southern Georgia meal I was looking for. Thank you. Keep up the delicious food. Also, the staff was so friendly. I might have to come back for another round.
