During my first visit I was surprised at how small and intimate the restaurant wasIt was very clean on the inside which is a huge factor for me when choosing an establishment to eat atI had called to pick up the seafood Tom Yum noodle soup and omg it was incredibleI feel like it would've been even better if I ate it fresh instead of picking up and driving my food back home 30 minutesThe second time I went, we actually sat down to eat. However, I did not know you had to call to make a reservation so now I know for next timeBut lucky for us, we were able to sit down and eat since it wasn't busy at the time we arrivedThe owner who also is the server there is so attentive, helpful, and personable. He truly gives you the experience and strives to make sure you are taken care ofTheir ingredients are all very fresh and so is their food.I'm a bit confused on the complaints about how long it takes for food to come out because one, is a ma and pa type establishment.Two, you can tell they don't pre-make things and just heat it up to serveEverything is made to order and you can tell when you get your foodI will always come back for as long as we are stationed here and will recommend this place over any other Thai restaurant.If you're picky about Thai food like I am, then THIS is the place for you
This place is a hidden gem. It’s easy to miss when driving by - it’s almost directly across the road from Drive Time.I had the Spring Roll, Basil Fried Rice Chicken. The carafe of ice water a nice touch. Both were delicious. All vegetables seemed like they were cut fresh and added to dishes. Very healthy, clean, great tasting. Will definitely be back!
What a fantastic experience. The food, phenomenal. The staff, courteous, efficient and truly caring. The atmosphere, warm and welcoming. We lucked out showing up on a whim, and they still sat us. I recommend a reservation as that's there motif. Everything is fresh and made from scratch to order. Nothing is pre-made, so a reservation will speed up dining if you are in a hurry. There was never a rush for us to leave after finishing our meal, which was amazing. Right off the start, the gentleman told us we are cooking for you like you are at our home, he did not lie. I felt like a member of their family. My fiance had the Thai coconut soup with chicken, I had the drunken noodles with beef and we shared an order of egg rolls. This was by far the best Thai food I have ever had. I have lived all over the country as I was active duty in the military, so I have tried all ethnicities of food. Seriously, the best ever. We will be back many many many times!
This is a lovely Thai restaurant where your meals are cooked to order and they are more authentic then you would fine at a Thai restaurant. I ordered a Seafood Tom Yum soup and a papaya salad. I traditionally love spicy food but I always order medium when trying a new place because I don’t know their spice level. Let me tell you that the medium was like FIRE, so order carefully if you are sensitive to spice. I still enjoyed it very much I just had to eat it in sections over the course of the day but the flavors were fantastic. I also ordered a Thai tea with basil seeds, the drink was refreshing however there was way too much ice in the cup and I got very little tea, but it was tasty nonetheless. I highly recommend this place, and if ever in the Columbia area again I will certainly be back.
So today the wife and I decided to try out a restaurant that I saw on Google at random, first time eating there and I will say it won't be our last. One thing to keep in mind is that if your dining in call ahead and reserve you a spot because it's a small space and only able to hold a hand full of people. The service is as good as the food, knowledgeable about the food choices and very helpful in picking out something that would catch your interest. Small spot but it's a lot of foot traffic in and out. If your looking for a local spot to try I would highly recommend THAI ORCHID RESTAURANT for the food and great service, you can't beat it. They do have take out, dine in and a delivery service through waiter.
The food is amazing like always! I have a very picky eater when we eat out and she ate all her food today! Everything we ordered; chicken green curry, egg rolls, chicken wings, & fried rice were delicious! And the ice coffee was amazing! Thank you for the amazing service!
The Best Thai Food I have ever had hands down! The Pad Thai was one of the best I have ever tasted! The heat was exactly what I was told it would be for spice. The Egg Rolls were some of the most delicious! The Carrots from the Black Pepper Chicken was so tender and seasoned to perfection! And The Gentleman who runs the front has some of the best customer service I have ever come across! Waiting for it was not an issue because it was so totally worth it! I cannot wait to go back, this will be my new go to here! Please try will not disappoint!
Wow wow wow! The most personable experience at a restaurant, It's like I'd been going there for years. Sara and Ricky make some unbelievable Thai food. I ordered mine medium spicy and it was perfect (I like to push it on heat and it was 100%). You must get the fresh spring rolls with shrimp. So incredible! Thanks for your thorough experience and we will be back again for sure!
Lovely family restaurant. Small eating area so call ahead for large groups.Had an off menu dish with ginger, onion, chicken and mushrooms. Very tasty and fresh tasting. Appreciate them for the great!Other guests had curry, fried rice and lots of other dishes.. it was really yummy. Service was excellent.Thank you!!!
Thai Orchid is amazing. We’ve had Pad Thai, Red Curry and Tom Yum Soup - all delicious. It’s tiny and cozy but ver welcoming. I strongly suggest reservations! Will be frequenting for a long time!
