This past weekend my family was in Columbus Ga, for the Homegoing of my sis-n-law. We had to get food for the repass. We called 2 Walmart’s and 1 Publix, Yall they said their was no Chicken omg. Before we left Chattanooga Tn we looked up places to eat around our Hotel. We came upon Sally Ann’s Kitchen Soul Food. We decided to call their since we were planning on going by before we left Columbus Ga. We called her Friday, repass was the next day Saturday. BABYYYY WHEN I TELL YOU HOW SWEET, NICE, POLITE, KIND & UNDERSTANDING SHE WAS ABOUT OUR SITUATION. Even though she had closed for the day because she was catering an event. Without ANY HESITATION she said sure come on by. It was 4 of us, listen listen we got their. She had her son set up a table and chairs for us to sit in. Then she gave us samples of her food. JESUS WHEN I SAY SLAP YOUR GRANDMA KIND OF SOUL-FOOD. Honey we sampled potato salad, neckbones, yams, pig feet, greens OMG!!!!!HER FOOD IS THE BOMB.COM, she was truly a blessing to my family. We got chicken, greens, dressing, potato salad, mac/cheese, cornbread muffins, dinner rolls, cranberry sauce and gravy. Trust me her prices are GREAT!!!!!EVERYTHING WAS ON POINT. LISTEN YALL BETTER SUPPORT HER, this BEAUTIFUL QUEEN & HER STAFF ARE THE TRUTH!!!!!She is about her business. You better BELIEVE WHENEVER I GO TO COLUMBUS GA I WILL BE EATING AT Sally Ann’s Kitchen Soul Food 1820 Midtown Dr. Columbus Ga 31906. Wait wait check this out we forgot the potato salad, guess what even though she was catering another event, she got in her vehicle and brought it to US. DID YOU HEAR WHAT I SAID……SHE BROUGHT IT TO US. Come on who does that? SALLY ANN’S KITCHEN THATS WHO. She has a sweet sweet spirit and so does her staff. GOD BLESS THIS QUEEN AND HER STAFF. May God continue to REIGN DOWN BLESSING EACH & EVERYDAY on your business your staff and your family. COME ON PEOPLE LETS HELP OUR SISTER PROSPER SO SHE CAN CONTINUE TO BE A BLESSING. Oh did I mention HER FOOD IS EXCELLENT, FILLING, FINGER LICKING GOOD, AWESOME, MAGNIFICENT. I DARE YOU TO GO GET YOU SOME, YOU’LL BE CAMPING OUTSIDE HER DOOR. I got the fry catfish meal that came with three sides I chose mac & cheese cabbage and yams. It’s been a stressful week and I really was craving some comfort food so I decided to give this place a try through DoorDash and I was not disappointed whatsoever. Everything tastes so good like it came straight out of my grandma‘s kitchen. I just wish that the banana pudding portions were a little bit bigger for $2.50, it’s kind of like a sauce cup but it still taste amazing. Happy that I finally found a good Black owned southern restaurant in Columbus❤️❤️
This was my first visit to Columbus and I search for Soul food restaurant in the city. Google suggested Sally’s, so I came by on Sunday morning. The restaurant was very clean and the food on the line look great! Michele and Mrs. Baker made me feel at home from the beginning to end of my meal. I had my favorite oxtails in gravy over rice, sweet potato, and greens. It was so delicious and I’ll be definitely visiting them again ? thanks for the hospitality Tim “the soul food lover” Aquino
The food was hot fresh and delicious and the staff were amazing very clean environment I will be back soon.
The customer service was great! However, the food was fair, because they did change their grease for their fried food items!
Ox tails with gravy was watery rice was bland no seasoning mac and cheese was cold and oreo cheese cake taste like a regular price of cake
Over priced… food very bland… overpriced… give 1 scoop of food…. Over priced…. No seasoning… over priced… Over Priced!! Come down your your prices. You don’t give enough food. And it’s nasty. And your customer service could use some work. Very overpriced!!!!
Yes, yes, yes, and Yesssss. So good. Awesome soul food. Everything was good, oxtail, dressing, mac n cheese, cabbage and yams not shown and the cornbread!! I will be returning!
So, imma keep it real. The food was A1! Let me set the scene. I was in town for my son's soccer game (10/17/21) about 4 miles from Sally Ann's. I did a google search, saw the pics looked good and decided to give it a try. The game was at 4pm, so I arrived around 3:15. Warmly greeted at the door. Smiles, great attitudes, etc. Place was spacious and clean. Now, they were out of a lot of stuff, which to me for a soul food spot is GOOD. That means that people like their food and they don't have stuff leftover that's resold. So I went with the standard-- baked chicken (dark), mac and cheese, mash/gravy, black eyes, double corn bread muffin, sweet tea with light ice. I was shocked when she said "you get 3 sides, sir". YEEEES SIRRRR! I hit the jackpot. ALL my food was good, no lie. I could not even eat it all. The price was very reasonable too. I judge spots by whether I will go back, and if I am ever in Columbus again, I'm heading here. I gave 5 stars because they were warm and friendly and the food was banging for a good price.
As soon as I walked in I was greeted the inside is so clean and it feel really good inside the food was so good and I was in and out within 5-7 mins I will definitely be back ??❤️
