The servers were great. Attentive without being annoying. The food not so much. I had oyster stew. I believe that they boiled the oysters in a bit of milk and water tossed in a bit of margarine and called it a wrap. This oyster offering should be renamed "Oysters in flavorless water". I also had the Seafood Platter. The cod was substantial and the taste was good but; short of noteworthy. The atmosphere is that of a cafeteria / soup kitchen.
My Fish Friday go to! I love to go to the raw bar in the back to get a more personal eating experience. There's no other like it in Columbus. Been eating here for years. Can't think of anywhere else to go eat fish that allows you to bring your own bottle! I definitely recommend this place!
Our first visit here and it was not disappointing ! Everything was amazing from the service to our catfish plates. Our server Christine was so sweet .
The service was great. Waitress was excellent. I bought the Red Snapper, it really didn't have any taste to it
No frills just good food. Got a dozen oysters which were good and we shared a combo plate. The fish was perfect. The shrimp with the shrimp salad were a bit small but not a show stopper. All in all good food good prices.
I have always heard that rose hills has the best catfish in town, I have to disagree and I ordered the whole catfish and will say that was the worst catfish I have ever had because they cut the meat off of one side of the catfish and the other side is so thin you have less that a 1/8" of meat so all you get is a pile of bones. I told the cashier this and she said you should have just ordered the filets. So why is whole catfish on the menu if all you get is a platter of bones. Everything else was great but this puts cutting corners to a whole new level and all you really can taste is the breading. I'm pretty good at eating whole catfish without getting any bones in my mouth but there is no meat to slip off the bones.
Good conversation. Oysters were perfectly prepped with no debris. Service was quick.
The food was good but the facility was dirty. The busboy and waitresses cleaned tables using the same rag. The tables were greasy. After cleaning the tables and handling the dishes and silverware, the waitresses proceeded to deliver food.
We were promptly seated and given menus and drinks. Our order was taken and delivered promptly. The catfish fillets were delicious. I would recommend Rose Hill to others.
Food is always hot and fresh. The service is immaculate and I love getting the catfish and scallops and try the flounder those are the delicious meals that I would recommend. And I think you can bring alcoholic beverages in there. Love this place!!!
