Place isn’t bad for Korean food, I mean there aren’t many Korean places here In Columbus to begin with. You cook your own food and it’s pretty much endless food for a set price. They’ve increased their prices by $5 within the last 6 months or so; it’s still is relatively inexpensive in my opinion. Lunch is $20 from 1100-1400 and anything after that is dinner pride which is $30 per person.
My family and I have came to this restaurant several times, but a time before this day and today we have had intentional very bad service. We had to get up and get the server to come serve us today. I am not kidding. They will take the plates that are sitting on a table that they have set out all day and give it to you as your plate. Imagine you are at this restaurant thinking that you are getting a clean plate only to realize that you are eating from a plate with all day dust particles. If this is what they are doing with the plates, imagine what they are doing with the food. It is not worth eating here anymore and spending $28. I would not recommend.
Having never experienced Korean BBQ I was really looking forward to dinner. Sadly, I was not rewarded with a positive result. It started badly when we walked in and were immediately assaulted with a foul odor, like garbage that had taken out a bit too late, but lingered after the fact. The smell followed us to our table. Our server was kind, but the service was slow. We ordered the dinner spread and I was expecting a grand spread of delicious sides and sundries. What we got wasn't even close. The sides were skimpy, and sauce was considered a "side". They didn't even bring half the sides, despite specifically requesting that she bring them all at once. The seasoned meats we had were overly salty. I will say that the portion of meat was generous, but they didn't provide a separate plate for serving or extra tongs unless we asked. The side sauces were the tiniest portion ever. Given I don't know anything about Korean BBQ, I felt the chicken was too thick, making it difficult to cook fully without burning. Despite the restaurant not being crowded, our service was slow and at times, non existent. We actually thought she went home. For $27, dinner was barely ordinary. Nothing stood out or even raised its hand. Would not go back.
Went during lunch and it wasn't busy at all. Food was ok, Service was great!
Decided to visit this restaurant as recommended to by a coworker and I wasn’t disappointed! Q Korean Steakhouse is definitely now on my top 10 list of best restaurants for the Columbus, Ga area! The food was so different and exotic! I also loved how we cook the food ourselves, which was something I’ve never experienced. My favorite food here was the dumplings and the lemon chicken. The flavoring was on point and the appetizers were a nice complimentary touch. I also had the chocolate lava cake for dessert! Very delicious and rich, well worth the money! The prices aren’t bad as well, I paid for 3 adults and came out pretty inexpensive! I’d also like to shout out the waitress Kimberly as she did an excellent job today, thanks again! I highly recommend!
It was good, but if you go on the weekend be warned, they only have the dinner menu prices all day. No 12.50 lunch price. So $27/person for unlimited food. The food was really good and came out quickly. The Fillet mignon was so tender and so was the Q steak. The beef soup is so delicious and the fried dumplings were good as well. Lots of meats to choose from. We tried the fillet, Q steak, pork belly, shrimp, and octopus (be careful, it sticks to the pan easily) Service was really fast and it was mostly empty even for lunch on a Saturday. Overall, I'd say it was pretty good, but probably not worth the $27 for each person. Lunch time during the week would probably be better.
This was my first time eating Korean bbq for lunch... The meats were excellent as expected. What I found unique was the side dishes and sauces. Next time I will try for dinner, lunch for this style of eating isn't what I prefer. But that is only my preference and not a reflection on the restaurant
Not the most welcoming or friendly employees. Some meats were definitely not seasoned enough or at all. I wouldn't go back for 27$. Soda for 3$ shouldn't have to be asked to be refilled either...Koreana on moon road is better.
A great place to eat at with a really good environment/set up. For the price of $27 it's all you can eat dinner and it's absolutely worth it. Been a few times and will definitely go back as often as I can.
Great experience and food. We went on a Sunday and something to note is that they do dinner all day on Sunday, so it is 27 a person (all you can eat). We had the fillet and brisket as well as the spicy chicken and soy Chicken. All the meats were very flavorful. The beefs lacked seasoning, which was disappointing. The seasonal vegetables were great and the deep fried dumplings (equivalent of gyoza or potstickers) were perfect with the sauce. To finish off our meal we had a molten cake and it was different from a traditional molten chocolate cake, but great. The service was fast and we always had food on the table. I'd highly recommend going here on a date night or with a group of hungry friends.
