Wife and I were in Columbus (from Hawaii) last week to attend our sons graduation from boot camp at Fort Benning. We wanted to enjoy REAL southern style cooking and came across Minnie's. I got the fried chicken, mash potatoes, black eyed peas, and collard greens and was not disappointed. By far the best fried chicken I have ever had with its crispy skin on the outside and the ooh so juicy meat within. We will be heading back to Columbus for our other son's promotion in the Army in September and will for sure eat at Minnie's Uptown Restaurant again.
Amazing food!!!! Sad we were only visiting town and don’t have this food closer to home! Highly recommend!!!
I have been going here for years and I can honestly say I have never had anything bad from here. Everything they do is delicious. The staff is also very friendly. You will not be disappointed if you eat here.
First time here and well worth it. Delicious Southern food. Definitely get here early because the line was long as you can see. They also only have certain hours so double check online before you come. Great customer service! Parking is limited but you can park on the side streets so not an issue. Delicious dessert's, fried chicken, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cornbread. They have sweet and unsweet tea sitting out on the table in the dining area to refill your drink, also serve pink and regular lemonade. Definitely must try if you are in the area!!
Nice meat and three cafeteria style restaurant! Food was good! Take your lunch to go and walk a few blocks down to the Chattahoochee River!
I use to frequent Minnie's a few years ago & thoroughly enjoyed it every time. I've been out of the area & this was my first time visiting since my return. Wasn't wowed with my meal. I had the mac & cheese, cabbage & a salmon pattie. My pattie was cold so I ask to have it reheated. My cornbread muffin was a little hard & not so warm either. Employees were pleasant, but my overall experience was just ok.

Great service and food! Their fried chicken especially is really good - crispy and well-seasoned, not dry at all, and the sweet tea, cornbread dressing, and mac and cheese are also favorites.
Minnies is the best! If you love some good ol southern soul food get your behind down to Minnies! Their staff is so welcoming. It's always my favorite place to take friends and family that are here visiting.
