This place is a Columbus staple. I recently discovered they have a drive through. Even though it's been there over a year. I would maybe do something more to advertise that. Cooks is one of the few places that did not shut down at all during the pandemic. Cooks is a must for hot dogs and hamburgers in Columbus. It's a trip down memory lane for the older crowd that grew up in this town. Lots of local HS memorabilia inside. I eat here almost every time I pass at lunchtime.
3/7/22 At drive thru, a little around 3pmvery sweet, nice, polite server. However... I ordered 2 chili dogs all the way, add slaw, no ketchup. Got home and sadly they are missing the slaw. Just let her know to pay more atten to the orders.

We love this place. It’s hard to explain why it’s so special. Affordable, great chili, friendly atmosphere, and my kids love choosing songs on the (free) jukebox.
Was not impressed about how Dusty it was . Had an odor , Fries was horrible taste like bag frozen fries they got from piggly wiggly cooked with old grease , not worth a buck ! Don’t recommend if you like season food. Gas station food is better !
My co workers and I went to Cooks for lunch yesterday. There were 5 of us and 3 of us are black. 3 white men were sitting at the tables right by the entrance door. One of the white men said, "I hope yall are not about to rob us." I looked back like "What the hell?" He goes I didn't mean anything by it. I was kidding around. Let me give you 2.50 off your lunch. I said, "Oh, you're the owner?" He said, "Yes." Wow!! Never ever will I spend a penny in this restaurant.
Everyone should go and partake in the food cooked there. Very satisfying and delicious. The people who work there are very polite and caring
Extremely too much chili, can't even eat this. Disappointing visit this time.
Food here is awesome only problem is the sauerkraut please wear a hair net the last three times I’ve had hair in the sauerkraut I don’t want to go anywhere else but I can’t stop thinking about the hair 3 times in a row I usually use the drive thru let’s get it together lady’s food is to good to be finding hair ONLY IN THE SAUERKRAUTIssue has been addressed as promised thank you guys so much
I ordered a Hamburger steak and got a fake country fried steak. It was awful!! The fires were good but the rest was terrible.Please update your menu. There is a big difference in a country fried steak and a hamburger steak. It’s not a hamburger steak just because you put it on a bun.
