We are very long time customers and go to Macon rd location once or twice a week. We love all the employees and ALWAYS get the best service and food in town...until LAST NIGHT. We got a server Maya and it was absolutely AWFUL. No refills, a table of 10 we got our food a piece at a time, some of the food was wrong it was a nightmare. She was rude and never smiled. We were there at least 2 hrs and never got tickets . We had to ask Cash for refills and he finished and corrected our food.Cash is AMAZING. When I was talking to manager before we left maya interrupted me and said, "when I was face to face with you you never said a word"! We had heated words and manager told her to go to the back. I will NEVER have her as a waitress again.We are trying g to decide if we will ever go back. 10 people are a lot of people to lose in one pop. Normally love and enjoy our visit however this ruined our family night.
This place was recommended to us and I see that there are several great reviews, although these are all old reviews. My husband and I went there 3 days ago and the only good thing about it was that the restaurant is in an old bus station and that was nice to see. I specifically requested hot fries when I placed my order. When I got my meal, the fries were cold and I told the server. She did replace them with hot fries, so that was good. However, the barbeque was completely cold and full of fat and gristle. The brunswick stew was barely warm. Neither my husband nor myself ate much of the meal except for the fries that were replaced. Actually, the best thing about this meal was the cup of ice water we got as our drink.
This large restaurant specializes in BBQ and related items. The ambience was super local - signs for state parks, kayaks in the ceiling, old coke signs, it was very cool. We ordered the pulled pork, fried corn with grilled bread. The bbq was moist, super tender and bursting with flavor. There was a ton of it and it was difficult to finish the meal. Very fair portions, reasonable prices, and excellent quality - you really cannot go wrong here. Highly recommend!

I ordered from the north location last night and my food look like it was prepared for a dog. I paid 13 dollars and some change for 4 ribs, a spoon of greens and a spoon of corn, that was supposed to be the rib platter. I've ordered from the location on Mercury drive several times and the food and service was always on point. I'll never purchase from the north location again.
Location is on a former bus station and they have a genuine bus you can dine inside if you are so inclined. Pork plate was piled high with pit smoked tender pork. Stew was solid chunky and hardy. Beans were jazzed up with burnt ends and sauce served thick so it would stick to your bones. Mrs bbq had 1/2 a chicken so large both of us couldn’t finish. Her sides were collards and squash which she nominated for the collard green eating hall of fame. The iced tea would stand you up. The attentive service kept our glasses full. It was a fun meal chock full of tasty bbq. We carried home another meal from our leftovers.

We ate here a few months ago and it was phenominal! They best BBQ; huge portions. Awesome banana pudding! Unfortunately, we dont live around there, but if we are ever there again; will definately return!
